Ms. Amp 01-02-2003 11:57 PM

Well, if AMP were in any shape to reply, he'd probably say "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer (too much VH1 I love the 80's on New Years Day...)

But, I think it's "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" by Rod Stewart. In a more sober state, AMP might mention a Metalica song or two...

Marshall, Will and Holly
On a routine expedition
Met the greatest earthquake ever known
High on the rapids It struck their tiny raft (insert screams here)
And plunged them down a thousand feet below
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost
To the Land of the Lost

Rapids? Lizards? HELL NO, I say! Bring on Ice Man! Bring on Maverik! Rock the fuckin' house! I wanna get in an F-14, and maybe eat a York Peppermint Patty, and touch myself in the naughty bits while Kenny croons out about that highway! That highway to the DAN-GER ZONE! My God...it's orgasmic.

One banana, two banana, three banana, four
Four bananas make a bunch and so do many more.
Over hill and highway the banana buggies go
Comin' to bring you the Banana Split show

(CHORUS)
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la

Four banana, three banana, two banana, one
All bananas playin' in the bright warm sun.
Flippin' like a pancake, popping like a cork
Fleegle, Bingo, Drooper an' Snork

REPEAT CHORUS)

Two banana, four banana, one banana, three
Swingin' like a bunch on monkeys, hangin' from a tree.
Hey there, ev'rybody, won't you come along and see
How much like Banana Splits ev'ryone can be

(REPEAT CHORUS)

Makin up a mess of fun
Makin up a mess of fun
Happiness for ev'ryone
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la
Tra la la, la la la la

I guess Imagine by John Lennon has to be the number one song of the last 50 years. But there are so many more to mention. So in no particular order.

For what it's worth -Bufelo Springfield
Purple Haze - Jimi Hendrix
Blowing in the wind - Bob Dylan
Suite Judy Blue Eyes - CSNY
Southern Man - Neil Young
Stairway to Heaven - LZ

But the interesting thing is; This is a young man's board and look at the dates of the music you've chosen.

looks like we listen the same music I would only add Aqualong (maybe not spelled right ) by Jethro Tull

SpaceAce 01-03-2003 04:06 AM

Not everyone here is that young. I'm young, myself, but I can probably count on my hands the number of songs from the last 12-13 years that I like enough to buy a CD of or download. My tastes run to 50's-60's rock + some 70's rock and a touch of disco. I know it sounds crotchety, but I just think the music was better then.

I'm a reggae fan, so my votes goes to:
Peter Tosh - Bush Doctor
Peter Tosh - It's better, if you smoke marijuana
Yellowman - Police in helicopter
Yellowman & sister Nancy - Blood stain(also known as Cocaine)
