Why is it that at the webmaster shows the affiliates attending you can count on 1 hand (ussually just count everyone in the queue for some expired porn model signature) and the other 99% of the attendees are programs and payment gateways?

Oh wait i know.. Because 99% of the porn affiliates do not make any sales. Yet somehow on GFY it looks like everyone does how strange.. :321GFY

I think some of it is that many of the shows really don't have all that much to offer affiliates these days.

I went to a few shows several years ago and wasn't impressed. I met a few people, had a few drinks and had a good time, but I found that, as an affiliate, there wasn't much there to help me improve my business so there really wasn't much of a reason from me to keep going to them.

like kane says, there is nothing really in it for affiliates.

i am an affiliate and never been at big show, but have been at few meetings and i enjoyed the party and will go to anything bigger or smaller in future if something will be near me :)

I've always found that entertaining as well.

That hasn't been always true though, but since the sales have plummeted I definitely can see that affiliates won't spend a couple of hundreds to attend these shows for the mere fact there is no incentive for them to come, except for that expired porn model ...
