Every registrar should be raising prices July 1st, some have already increased prices.

Yngwie 06-24-2010 05:23 AM

Hell, even with that very small increase it's still so much cheaper then it was when I 1st started this.. I think it was like $75/year. May have been more, but no lower then $75.

domaincentral sucks. Their support is slow and horrible, and I don't think they register domains in realtime.

I think it is defective that the economy is awful to the point where everyone from grocery stores to retail are slashing prices and yet people like banks and registrars are raising their fees.

Beat the price increase. Renew and transfer now!

As a premium Moniker customer, we wanted to make you aware of the VeriSign .COM and .NET price increase for domain registrations, renewals and transfers. This increase will go into effect July 1, 2010 and applies to all registrars. At this time, Moniker will be raising .COM and .NET prices approximately 10%.

We highly recommend clients RENEW and TRANSFER their domains BEFORE July 1, 2010 to lock in current prices. You can register or renew for up to 10 years and guarantee current pricing on your most valued domains regardless of how many price increases there are in the future.

We greatly appreciate your business and are committed to providing you with the highest quality service and security. Please give us a call if we may be of assistance.

Again, thank you for your business.

Best Regards,
The Moniker Team

last chance

Ron Bennett 06-30-2010 10:42 PM

Get ready for the next increase July 1st 2011 to as much as $7.85 for .COMs.

VeriSign can raise its rates upto 7% annually 4 times during its 6 year contract for .COM. And potentially even more frequently than that, if VeriSign claims a financial hardship / extraordinary expenses of running the registry.
