Hardware Brands You Always use?
 

I'm sitting here ordering parts for a new computer. I love this shit. What hardware brands do you insist on?

Personally I always use Kingston RAM and Western Digital drives. I don't sweat the brand of video card much but I always go for the nvidia chipset. I have no preference on Intel vs AMD or mobos, I lean towards Asus mobos but whatever has the specs I want + the best reviews on newegg.

The only brands I REFUSE to use are:
Crucial and Maxtor

What are your picks?

Gigabyte - Motherboard
Corsair - RAM/PSU
Samsung - Monitors
Lian Li - Case
Seagate - HDD although I've had one fail on me and might check out Samsung in the future.

Good call on the lian li case. I had one back in my heavy gaming days and it was probably the best designed case I have ever owned.

Get a WD drive next time. All drives will fail eventually but Western Digital drives always outlast the others. I have a 10k RPM WD Raptor that I bought when they first came out and it is still in great shape according to its SMART data.
