Funny you mention that. Was just watching a AFL hits video. These guys have absolutely no body armour, no head guards ... i think a mouthguard is the extent of it and they just hammer eachother. Nothing like American 'football' where they have 20 layers of kevlar body armour.

theres a good 1 today watching that mexico game.

I prefer it over NASCAR but hard to sit and watch a full game. It is hard to keep my attention.

IMO not much gets more boring than NASCAR... Really anything circle track is incredibly lame to me. Maybe I have a certain inherent disdain from growing up in Daytona but man, I just don't get NASCAR...

500 miles of left turns is pretty accurate. I'd rather watch soccer than NASCAR any day but if it's not the world cup I don't watch much of it either.

3rd match in Group phase is really where things start to heat up. Really enjoy watching WC, so much fun!

I have to assume you haven't played any American style football ever. I'm not a fan of watching any sports really, but I've played rugby, Aussie rules and American football. I'm not going to say one game is harder or better than the other, but American football is absolutely more hard hitting.

There's a reason that NFL is such a short season and it's not because they're lazy. When you get in to college or pro football levels in the states, you have 300 pound monsters teeing off on each other at full speed. Australian football or rugby don't come anywhere near close for the pure violence of the hits. They're much faster moving games more about endurance.

Lets all post something we think is boring and clog up gfy with it. Useless pissing match if you ask me.

This is right on the mark, I played Rugby, Hockey, Lacrosse and Football growing up and in all but Football your generally moving in the same direction as the person that hits you, where as football you are almost always moving in completely opposite directions. Where something has to give.

But only one of those games has the players comming of the pitch after every play, in all the others the players stay on the pitch for the whole game.
And to be honest, strip a hand-egg player of his armour and put him in a Aussie rules game and he'll crap himself. those guys are nuts.
