Seems like more whining lately and people picking fights.

And lots of people taking posts out of context and getting butt hurt.

Is it because money is tighter and sales are harder to get?

I think some people just get butt hurt no matter what. Probably because they are miserable in their own lives. Just to be clear, I have not intentionally tried to pick fights with anyone here. (Since I've come back. My drunken antics from years past are well documented tales of GFY lore and don't need to be rehashed). I love a good strong debate and respect other viewpoints from people that participate like adults, but when the insult slinging and name calling comes out, I move on. Life is too short to argue with immature knuckleheads.

I agree Paul. But how a person conducts themselves is completely up to the individual. No one has to be an ass. They do it because they chose to. A website doesn't make them assholes, they are assholes of their own free will.

i think gfy as a whole, is much softer than it used to be. people i used to argue with all of the time for funnsies, i don't bother with anymore. i am actually internet friends now, with many people i argued/trolled with for 10 years. it's a kinder, gentler gfy now lol.

A good example is Vendzilla and TheDoc. I disagree with those guys (and they disagree with me) in just about every debate we have here, but I have the utmost respect for both of them and their points-of-view because they participate like adults. I would love to see more of that here.

And then you get people like Demon who come in to a conversation and contribute nothing but a string of "idiots, morons, dumb asses..." etc. and nothing else. They haven't gone soft or are feeling offended, they're just stirring shit. Why? Who knows.

Then there is a third group. Someone like baddog. He's been around as long as me, he's got lots of friends and contacts, I'm sure he's reasonably intelligent, and he also has a hate-on for me. He has strong viewpoints no doubt, but rather than offer them up, chooses to insult me because of his hatred. But that's his problem. Not mine. I have no intention of modifying my behavior just because someone calls me an idiot. But I've been on that side of the fence before, and so I'm willing to bet that it stems from his own disappointment and dissatisfaction with his own life. Again, not my problem. I worked my shit out, everyone else can work their shit out eventually too. :2 cents:
