Wordpress 3.0 and Multisite and Multiple IPS

If you are using wordpress 3.0 currently (RC3) and want to setup different domains, with different ips on the same install, please use the trunk version of the domain mapping plugin, as the earlier version in the codex doesnt support it.

I have tested a wordpress 3.0 rc3 site with 10 different domains 3 with the same ips, and 7 with different ips, and it works fine.

http://plugins.svn.wordpress.org/wor...mapping/trunk/

here is the trunk version

:thumbsup

I think WordPress is horribly written and overly complex for the sake of complexity. Perhaps if the code base down from the fatness it is now, the security exploits would come in less frequently.

Of course, just my :2 cents:

what exactly are you trying to do with WP that you think is so complex?

I agree the code is horrid, but comes with any opensource project, but I have yet to see someone who complains about the product step up and write a better system, that will be so widely used.

Windows, Linux, Freebsd all have exploits, thats why they have updates, of course with opensource its going to be easy to find them since you can look at the source and find them yourself.

Wordpress has a pretty big share of the market overall on all internet sites.

Almost 1 in every 10 sites runs wordpress according to matt.

According to founder Matt Mullenweg, WordPress now runs an estimated 8.5% of all sites on the internet. This is a staggering amount ? almost one in every ten sites is sitting on what was once just ?blogging software?.
20 Million+ sites.
