A little more detail on the problems we've been experiencing:
There are two issues that our host, Primenetworks, has been dealing with. The first problem is with PacBell fiber which runs between Verio and Prime. Prime has switched to a backup fiber line as a temporary fix, and things are working better now. The backup line, however, has less capacity than the main one we switched from, so things will be a bit slower than usual until we can switch back to the main line.
The other issue was a problem with Prime's DNS servers, which had been causing our sites to refuse connections to new visitors - return visitors (those who had a cached IP) could access the sites fine, but new visitors and those without a cached IP were being denied a connection. As it stands right now, the DNS servers are back up, and things are working properly.
Primenetworks has been an excellent host, and we're confident that all these issues will be completely resolved, shortly. Should either of these problems resurface/continue, however, we will make up for it to our webmasters by increasing our per signup payouts to compensate for potential sales lost due to the downtime. The amount of the increase would reflect the time period affected. For example, if we were down an additional 2-3 hours, we'd bump the payouts to $50 per signup, more 3-4 hours, $55 per, or something to that effect. (I'm just using these $ figures as an example, btw; the actual amounts are yet to be worked out)
We apologize for the inconvenience, and thank you all for your patience as things get sorted out.
