If they shut down oil drilling it will cost the state millions in lost revenue and tens of thousands of people in LA will be laid off of their jobs.

The oil spill is the economical punch that knocks the state on its knees, the moratorium is the kick in the nuts knocking the state out all together.


Obama is making a knee jerk reaction. They should inspect all rigs asap and if any are unsafe then shut just those down. Not all of them.

Lord knows it's certainly not that. Someone capable of a Nobel award can certainly handle the stress of making poor financial decisions and a little spill.
