Anyone watch that tv series "24"?
 

The commercials to it make it seem like a cool show, but I have never checked it out. Is it worth watching? Should I buy the first season on DVD?

Buy the first season, I did. And it's amazing, you can't stop watching.

It's much better to watch the first season all in a row with the DVDs. I'm watching season 2 now and it's murder having those cliffhangers every week.
Season 2 will make more sense if you watch Season 1 first too.

it has my vote on the best damn TV show ever

My girlfriend went CRAZY about that show last season and she was dying to watch it, again, this season. I thought it was pretty cool, original and reasonably engrossing the first season, but I think this second season is pretty weak. My girlfriend is less thrilled this season, too. It seems too much like a sequel (as in a movie) than a continuation of a television show. I think the format makes it tough to have ongoing story lines and it totally precludes having each episode being a self-contained story.

my only problem with the second season is that they made the daughter so stupid still,,

you'd think that she would of learned her lesson from the last incident,

i just wished they cut her scenes out all together

I rented it on dvd (season 1) and watched the entire 24 fricking hours...

Where I live, Blockbuster sells the "DVD PASS' where $22 monthly gets you unlimited rentals (2 checked out at a time)

You know I caught part of the first season, and it looked good, but I never got into it. I would really love it if they ended this season with him failing and the bomb going off and leveling the town or whatever is going to happen.

Is it just me, or did you get jipped on the 'unlimited' part?

Best show on TV ever, IMHO.

It's brilliant and a full hour of suspense every week. As the other's have suggested, get the first season's DVD's...it will tie up all the loose ends you might experience watching this season.

LOL no shit! I would never miss that show, it's one of the best shows I've ever seen on television. but the girls storyline this year is so weak. everything else rocks. :thumbsup

24 was the best TV show I saw last year, fantastic. The new series hasn't started here yet but I'm looking forward to it, if you didn't see the series check it out :thumbsup:

Still season 1 on tv here in netherlands, at 7pm now, i believe. Season 2 will start at the end of this year. It's awesome ;-P.

Ok Im gonna havbe to buy season 1 on DVD to see what all the fuss is about. There is only ONE show on TV that I watch, and it will be a long time before they make a new season of 'The Sopranos'. ::::sigh::: Time to find a new show.
