This is so damn gross but listen to this story...

So I hate going to the doctors, I avoid it at all cost. Anyway, about six months ago my ears started ringing and it felt as if i had an ear infection, it would get so bad off and on that I would avoid conversation because I couldn't hear. I was a little scared but still told myself it would pass and didnt see a doctor. Finally after this week, I got sick and tired of it, about 70% of my hearing was gone, so today I saw a doctor.

They cleaned out my ears and I was the talk of the doctors office, they could not believe how much ear wax came out of my ear and neither could I, it looked like part of my brain or something.

Now I can hear so well it sounds like everyone is yelling. I can hear background sounds I have NEVER heard before. I know this sounds crazy but I feel like I was just reborn. i don't think my hearing has ever been this good, not even as a baby.

So excited, just had to share this story. :thumbsup

I once had to do that. They took out a lot of wax from one of my ears. It had clogged up so much that I had completely lost all hearing in that ear.

sperbonzo 06-09-2010 12:06 PM

I was just about to eat a late lunch....and now your story reminded me of the mythbuster's episode where they gathered enough earwax to make a candle from it....

....not so hungry now....

:-(

It sure is good to see and hear.

Otherwise, you'd be like Helen Keller, or something.

MetaMan 06-09-2010 01:14 PM

what did they use to get out all the wax?

i heard bees wax candles work.

rogueteens 06-09-2010 01:20 PM

I managed to block up an ear with cotton once (silly story) anyway, i couldn't get it out and i ended up with impared hearing in that ear until one day, about 5 months later, it fell out of its own accord. i had the same experience as wtfent, i felt like i could hear like superman for a day or two!

Did you take any? :) They used to clean my little sisters ears like that every few months. She used to have bad earwax buildup.

I put a few drops of Olive oil in and flush it out the next day in the shower

I tried candles, a ear wax removal kit, q-tips, warm wash clothes, chewing gun, sitting in steam rooms, everything and nothing worked.

They used some liquid that they let sit in my ears for 10 minutes and then put about 1/2 cup of warm water in each ear with a syringe and the shit just wouldn't stop coming out, it was crazy. The relief I felt was intense, I was laughing and hugging the doctors, I cant recall ever in my life feeling so damn good.

BestXXXPorn 06-09-2010 06:29 PM

Don't use q-tips! I've had the exact same experience but I expect... not quite as much wax or hearing loss, hahhaha...

I was told to never use q-tips anywhere inside your ear because it will push the wax to the back and build up... instead, when you're in the shower rinse your ears out with hot/warm water...

But I know EXACTLY how you feel! Fantastic isn't it?!

Crazy experience you can literally feel all the stuff breaking up inside your ear... what you thought was part of your ear... then when they flush it all out you get a head rush, haahah Good stuff, enjoy the new ears!

Sometimes lately, for a few seconds, my ear will ring and feel like its plugged with water. Is it that kind of thing?

maccsta 06-09-2010 07:16 PM

At least it wasn't Hemorrohids!

wdsguy 06-09-2010 07:35 PM

I use to goto the doctors office to get this done but you can do this easily at home if it happens again.

1. Stop using cotton swabs - it just pushes the earwax in.
2. Goto your local pharmacy and look for a home ear irrigation kit. It comes with a solution usually and a syringe made for ear flushing. Get some hydrogen peroxide (the ones at the store with 3% in it) - do a few drops in your ear and let it sit there for 5-10 mins (you will hear the bubbling). This will loosen the earwax - fill the syringe with water and flush that sucker out. You might need to do this a few times in each ear to get all the earwax out.

That was a bit stupid not to go to the doctor when you felt sick... you know? If it was some serious infection you could lose your hearing for good if appropriate antibiotics weren't administrated.

papill0n 06-09-2010 08:23 PM

i have to stop using qtips

Sounds look good advice.

after the first time i had my ears flushed i couldn't fucking believe it. huge pellets of wax coming out. i really didn't think there was even enough space in there to hold that much wax. i was so mind blown i got addicted to ear flushing. i was going into the doctors office every 6 months or so just to get a flush done. finally he told em i didn't need to flush my ears, if i wanted it done that often, to get my own syringe and do it. so i bought one on ebay for like $20. good stainless steel medical grade one just like the doctor uses. Good bye fucking q-tips, all i do is flush my ears out now.

gleem 06-10-2010 08:07 AM

pics of the wax or it doesn't count.

O MARINA 06-10-2010 08:26 AM
