Yea, made switch to an Adroid on VZ. Service is top-notch comparatively.

He was defending AT&T by blaming the Wifi.

I lol'ed not as funny as the Blue screen of death Bill G had during his live demo but funny all the same.

Typical. when we had the ice storm last year, AT&T crashed like hell, leaving our entire state handicapped as for helping people, emergency services and everything. Everything went down except Verizon, we all had service. But I am sure those people stranded and needing help didn't care about any of that. No one was able to reach any rescue places at all, in the whole damn state, because they used AT&T.

Maybe NOW, he will open Verizon up to get the iPhone? lmao

I was at a show and a simlar incident took place ..this is what happened ! :1orglaugh

I attended a telecom expo and the highlight of the day was a major phone operator intended to show off its new super smart voice digital assistant...( basically you speak into your phone..ask your virtual assistant to do stuff and she does it , and she can actually have a type of virtual chat back and forth with you.)

The stage was set.....music started etc...and a young eager pretty girl comes on stage with her headset on thats connected to her phone and big speakers so that attendees can hear the full convo between her and the virtual assistant.........all good so far ......

Next she says hi to everyone......she was so eager to show off this tech that she was almost at bursting point......so the demo starts ....

Shes asks the virtual assistant to call her mom..the v assistant replies "I dont recognise your voice..task terminated " ....:1orglaugh and every time she tried to do anything the v assistant repeated the same thing .....then after about 40 minutes of trying to fix things..she announces ok its all good lets try again .........she asks the v assistant call my mom.....the reply " I dont know her number " :1orglaugh you do states the model come presenter ...." no i dont is the reply " ......and for 10 minutes we watched them argue..i kid you not......anyway after 1 hr the girl gave up and left the stage totally beaten and dejected ......:1orglaugh

The crowd and myself had so much fun and entertainment it was worth attending the expo just to see it .........:1orglaugh

what was the name of the show and date? I'm sure quick search on youtube will locate it...

It was about 3 yrs ago and at that time I was doing promotion/marketing at shows ...sometimes 1 show a week sometimes 1 a fortnight so cant remember off the top of my head ..if it comes to me I will let you know.

I did a quick search on youtube but couldnt seem to locate any clips ....I did find something simlar but this is not even close in features to the application I saw demonstrated ! ( but gives you some idea)

After what happened I think the application never got launched :1orglaugh which didnt come as a surprise to me.......

2 things interesting:

1) They claimed they have over 500 wifi hotspots in the room, so it should not even have been a problem.

2) Notice that the old iphone had no problem at all? Maybe the new one with the new style antenna simply has issues under these circumstances?

This is what my Android phone is built to do. Not to mention ask it directions and get turn by turn navigation.

Probably overloaded due to all the bloggers in the same venue reporting on the events.

I noticed that as well, old phone hogged up all the wife left in the room.
Oh well, overall, looks like a nice phone.

I'm sure I'll be getting one.

glitch yes, nightmare probably not so much..
apple is now worth more than microsoft, guess Jobs is probably ok with that.
