this is a huge debate and one that cant even begin to be done on a message forum such as this, we had it in art school numerous times and I wrote essays on it while going to art school...I have coordinated art exhibits featuring x-rated Jeff Koons photographs and sculptures so I love this topic, but there is a line between erotic art and pornography, but it is very difficult to identify where it is LOL

So yes, it depends on what site you visit, but there is a difference in the two. And Id say there are very rare cases of erotic art in the modern porn "websites" era.

As I said, modern porn is far from art, and no matter how high quality and "beautiful" the image, a girl spreading her pussy lips while getting facefucked in HiDef magazine style is not art.

Vincent von Gogh is also known in the art world as gay and seriously schizo. He had a crush on his very much straight friend and one time housemate Gauguin. Gauguin not being able to reciprocate his feelings for him (even though von Gogh didn't truly express his love for him) and then leaving him drove Vincent nuts which I think led him to cut his ear.

But I still think he is a genius who deserved his posthumous fame.
