I hope it does work. It is nice to see that Obama is now "furious" over the oil spill. Hopefully he can take some of that anger, if it is real and not just words, and get something permanently done.
|
this is good news !! at least the best news so far concerning this oil spill

Even if this works, it's temporary. They will need to remove the cap again and find a new way to cap it off for good. There will be more leakage when that happens.
But it's a start. |

Where is the outrage against Obama? If bush was president there would be talk of impeachment. Does Obama get a pass from greenpeace and peta and other EGs because he is "their guy". Not trying to stir the pot but I really want to know.... what do the American people think about Obama now? I have been in Asia for a while and I really dont know.

Have they increased the ratio of oil captured by this technique? BP is such a steal right now that I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a takeover target

Can someone help me with the math here.
Before they cut the pipe BP said that the flow would increase around 20%. BP has been low balling numbers since day one so it's probably higher than that. But lets say an increase of 20% after the cut. After the cut BP now says they are capturing 1/3 of the oil. The "1/3" number is based on the ORIGINAL estimates of the leak, not the actual amount coming from the pipe after the cut. This is directly from the BP spokesperson. So in reality, the net result is the leak is probably the same size if you believe the BP numbers and use their math. At worst, the leak is probably worse. |

Recap of this Video.
BP can't sell oil that's mixed with water. |
I heard it was because of the tubes
|
Well they've had enough time, they better be making some sort of progress.
