you were on vacation, that was a couple weeks ago.. not really life, but they replaced some "engines" in some cells and brougth them to life.. cool shit.. but im not going to be able to grow a Giraffe in my bathtub anytime soon :/

Yeah I know they announced around may 20th but I didn't see it in the news until tonight on ABC. I disagree, it is synthetic life. This is not just genetic engineering. By the textbook what they did was created a new life form and a new species.

Oh My God!!!

There was a show about this on the Science Channel tonight. I TiVo'd it.

I farted, it smells like a genetic mutation.

They still haven't caught up to the magic of life creation that was called a Sea Monkey farm.

i heard about that.

It's interesting what they did! I hope this will help people to have better life somehow, medical treatments etc.
