2003 is such a letdown!
 

Is it just me or did this New Year not matter? I mean... after hitting the year 2000 it seems like it takes a lot to ge people excited. Maybe 2010 will be the next truly exciting new year.

I think it's because the 21st century has been such a letdown. No flying cars, no organic computers, hell... we can't even get speech recognition right yet.

Am I the only one that thinks this?

2003 has been a total letdown.


BUT there's a good chance a nuclear bomb will be dropped at some point so we have something to look forward to.

I went to a party in a building in Times Square this year and everyone was thinking that there was a good chance we were all gonna die last night. If they wanted to do something to take out the most Americans last night was the perfect night.

The Superbowl is their next chance.

I live in NY, and since 1999 I have made it a habit to NEVER go to times square, just because it seems like such a target for terrorism.

So each year since I watch the ball drop on TV, and when it does, and they pan thru the crowd, I see everyone cheering and happy and all, but I know what they are really thinking:

We're Not Dead! Haaaappy New Year!

Haha, yeah, when I went on the street around 12:45 the smiles on everyones faces were saying that!

Nothings beats Y2K... and all that computer crashing hype.

2003 was a let down. I just sat there and took a sip from my drink while the rest of the drunks started shouting and blowing their paper horns. Whoo Hooo!!! Another year!!!! Big fuckin deal :(

I also ran out at 2am to get some world famous Candlelight wings. MMMMMMMMMMMMM.

You should have seen people on the Strip last night when they had a power spike...
we're all revelling near tropicana and the Strip and wooomppp, the power goes out and the backup power generators kick in...people were shitting themselves...even I was thinking "here it goes, I'm gonna be semi-famous"
but they got everything restored and all was well with the world and the insane maniacs on the Las Vegas Strip......

Damn thats crazy. Lucky no morons shouted 'allah!' when that happened, otherwise you'd still be cleaning the shit from your pants right now hahahahaha.

for a split second, i thought about it....
but I would have gotten my ass kicked...besides, I was too busy almost filling my pants.......
