CDSmith 06-03-2010 06:26 PM

What exactly do you need me to do? Meet him at the airport?

Can do. Let me know when his flight arrives.

GrouchyAdmin 06-03-2010 06:32 PM

Marry him, you fool.

nickutis 06-03-2010 06:41 PM

pay for his studies here, that way he will have high school diploma :) It's not hard to get international student visa

Jdoughs 06-03-2010 06:47 PM

He must be DEADLY at seo if he can't afford to migrate to Canada.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with this picture?

Is he like an idiot savant who can rank anything but too stupid to dress himself?

well "afford" to migrate means he need to invest at least 100k $ in Canada's economy if he comes here with "business class visa"

All the other ways is not about "affording", cause it has nothing to do with money (well maybe a little, to show that he can support himself and his dependants). It's about requirements which you need to fulfill, and if you don't, the doors are closed

Kind of my point. If he has his shit together and actually good at this, he'd be in business, have revenues, and be a 'target' for acceptance into the country. If he's just a hired outsourced worker that they want to bring in and take peoples jobs, then good luck, but that brings us back around to the first point, I thought he amazing at this?

That might be the way to do it. I know someone was going to sponsor a Canadian work visa for me in the past and the ball park was around $20k, but that might have included relocation expenses as well.

miss_bellabellini 06-03-2010 07:13 PM

He would need to apply for a work permit. You'll have to show that the company advertised the position in Canada and then state that you couldn't find the right person for the job. Work with him and follow the guidelines that the Canadian High Commission have in India.

Different countries have different processing times. But generally you will have to show that you advertised the position and couldn't find a Canadian to do the job. He'll have to apply for a work permit with your job offer. The High Commission will evaluate the application and then he will have to pass a medical before he is allowed into the country.

I hope that helps! The faster you get started with this the better. Canadian bureaucrats are REALLY slow:/

fris 06-03-2010 07:14 PM

is he going to work out of your moms basement too?

woj 06-03-2010 07:31 PM

Why do you want to jump through hoops to bring him over anyway? I don't see any obvious benefits...

If I'm not mistaken, US immigration law proceeds along the same lines (H1B petitions). The key is that there's no local US workers that can do the same job. Immigration lawyers' skill kick in when it comes to writing out the ad in such a way that only the foreigner being petitioned fits it. That's why they get paid $ :thumbsup

Don't move him physically. Let him work from India by sending telecommunications messages over the Internet.

I LOLed at this.
If you think you can bring an Indian into Canada within 2 month you’re a fucking moron. If that was possible you would be talking Hindi by now. You country would be 98% hindu.

The original poster already said what the problem is. Are stupid or what?
You need to fulfill certain criteria to immigrate to Canada. Among them is a highschool degree.

You get points for experience and education. A self-test can be taken here:

This is one of the tests I wanted to quote:

I do not understand why in this day and age people need to physically be located in the same office to work together, unless it is a case of trust with your data which I would kind of understand, but reality is if he wants to rip you off he will do it.....from wherever he is sat.

There you go...

intex 06-04-2010 06:38 AM

It takes time to get out of India mate. Too many requirements, documentation & rejections. You should have started the immigration process couple of months ago. Anyway its never too late. If that guy is worth he & you both deserve to have each other... lol :D

Apart from joke. Go for it......

Sid70 06-04-2010 06:41 AM

I'm currently in the process of immigration to Canada. Feel free to ask me in ICQ.

hahaha literally the only way

sperbonzo 06-04-2010 07:38 AM

This is all so very simple.

Have him fly to Mexico City, then take a train to the border. Have him then hire a coyote to sneak him across into California or New Mexico. Then have him take a bus to the Canadian border, and sneak across.

Everyone knows that the Canadians have no problem with illegal aliens in their country... Once he is there, problem solved.

So simple.

Gay marriage is legal in Canada. Go for it Madawgz!

mightyjoe 06-04-2010 08:24 AM

this the easy way: tell him to apply for tourist visa, meet him in airport and lock him up in your attic.

Luckily for my I was only coming from the USA.
