the cut they made was to jagged - just like with any pipe it's going to leak unless it's flush

I think thats as good as it's going to get unfortunately. It's probably capturing oil but it's hard to tell what %.

was reading the engineers report, he said, they wont know if itll work for 8 hours or so.. (couple hours ago stated).. and that they wont get a complete seal because they had to use a different cutting tool (less precise) and the rubber gasket wont be as good a seal because of it...

I hope it works but from the looks of it, it doesn't see much different from trying to do brain surgery from 500 feet up during a windstorm.
