Sponsors with free content - AVS policy?

I am wondering how many of you sponsors who offer free content allow it to be used for AVS sites. Sponsor content helps sell a site on a gallery and I've been thinking of trying it on a few dozen AVS sites, but I am not sure how most sponsors feel about this since your content would also be used on the outside of the site to sell AVS memberships.

Is this generally accepted or frowned upon? If you've got free content and don't mind me building AVS sites around it, let me know.

From our AVS point of view, we would welcome such sites and have, however, sponsored sites don't seem to do well.

Some have, but general rule is watermaked photos or links printed on them don't look good to someone who has just paid for a membership and it pisses them off to know you are there trying to get them to go to another site to fork over even more money.

Good luck and you would do so much better, just buying some quality photos and build your avs site and put a link to your sponsor a page or two. Certainly a friendly way of getting them to visit your sponsor page, then they don't feel tricked by you and or the AVS provider:helpme :) :2 cents:

I have tons of licensed content, so that isn't really an issue. I like upsells on the inside of my AVS's, though, and sponsor content upsells pretty well.

Content is content. I use sponsor content for my AVS sites and it works great.

I have done the same thing...... in fact some of my sites with sponsor content does better than ones with content I have bought on them......... providing that you use the sponsors ads on them as well, I really don't see where some would have a problem with it.......... no one has ever yelled at me about doing this.

Yea, my surfers come to my site and say, oh, that is content from the sponsor program xxx and leave :)

Seriously though, AdultLogin.com allows it as we are all here to make money. Additionally our multiple price point selector starts within 48 hours :)

If anyone is going to be at Internext and wants to hook up to talk some biz, have drinks, etc, just let me or baddog know via icq, email, etc.

Hope to meet some of you!

You can use PornStarBucks content on your avs sites, and FreeNetPass and AccessForLife avs's allow you to use sponsor content in your galleries.

Actually, I think most systems allow it ;)

the only thing I would add to this discussion is this. If you are using a relatively new sponsor, or one that provideds a limited amount of free content, there is the possibility that there may be too many others ahead of you that have already used that very same content.

So if the sponsor only has 5 sets available, and a dozen people have already submitted sites with the same content that you are going to use, there is a chance that your site might be denied. So, my suggestion is this, if you are going to use sponsor's content, try to grab it when it first hits the streets so you can be one of those whose site is accepted, rather than be the guy that decided to do it late in the game.

Happy New Year :thumbsup
