a question about user upload
 

so the tubes are beating the rap with the 'user upload' excuse... gee we really don't know how it got there... so isn't that like a pawnshop telling the cops we just found on the self/in the case etc.. and have no idea how it got there?

"user" upload illegal content

Owner of clip see that, send DMCA

Owner of tube site get that, removes content

/Now add, no response from tube owner, removed clip, submitted tomorrow again, etc...

My question, why court don't ask for user ip? Let's see from where are they coming, local host? :)

are the tube owners uploading through proxies? i dont think so, and only idiot can say that 10 users was uploading from the same ip ... go business go! :)

this kind of thing happens in a lot of industries. Even if you look at ads in some countries over the world. People throw a baner up and then just take it down when they're confronted about it. Most poeple won't be bothered taking them to court. Sucks, but that's how it is.

tube will claim ips are not logged.

Extremely rarely does a pawnshop call the cops.

they gotta have records though if the cops show up

i think there is more logs, but it is long run and nobody have the balls, except those guys that won 1.35m on tube that is getting 200 views on video daily. it cant be that hard, but it is work

Any larger tube will have http access logs disabled or greatly limited because it would eat up the harddrive space on the server too quickly

99% of gfy is sure that useruploads dont exist.

People always say "user upload" but it's supposed to actually be "user generated".

There's a difference, though most people definitely don't seem to grasp it.
