summer down south is the shit.,

L-Pink 05-30-2010 07:14 AM

i doesn't. only waters along the coast.

Unless a hurricane comes and blows all of the oily water over the levees.

NaughtyRob 05-30-2010 09:42 AM

Just chillin. I wish I was having a crawfish boil though! Doing that later in the summer.

Peaches 05-30-2010 09:45 AM

Vegetarians eat mudbugs and sausage?

I am packing for a short term move to the ATL. And I'm not doing a very good job of it!

Right.... Crawfish are freshwater, that was my point :winkwink:

But any how.... man theres a good place in houston called The Tavern ... their crawfish are fucking out of this world. They use fish sauce in their boil... good shit!

Isn't crawfish season almost over anyhow?

ottopottomouse 05-30-2010 09:49 AM

Sat in the sunshine today and did fuck-all.

Is there much meat in a crayfish, they look like miniature lobsters?

I havent been eating vegetarian for a bit. I started to feel weak often and ive been doing much much more outdoor living lately and the veg stuff just was not cutting it. Ive been eating meat again since you are concerned about my diet. LOL

went veg for like 4 years not eating red meat etc, health wise not sure if it was best thing for me personally.

I couldn't care less about what enters your mouth. I just remember your evangelical "I'm a vegetarian" posts almost non stop and was surprised you're now talking about eating the earth's precious creatures. Welcome back to the world of meat eaters ;)

almost all commercial crawfish are farm raised, has nothing to do with oil in water. My family has acres and acres of crawfish ponds been raising and selling them sacks of crawfish for over 100 years down here heheh

mayabong 05-30-2010 12:46 PM

Nothing beats taking a bite of spicy crawfish corn or potato and washing it down with an abita.

Thurbs 05-30-2010 09:16 PM

haven't been to a boil in over a decade ... nothing better then dumping 2 garbage cans worth of crawfish on the table and kicking it back

Spunky 05-30-2010 09:21 PM

What does a crawfish taste like?

tough question, hard to explain. If they are boiled right they would be a little spicy. If you like shrimp you should probably like crawfish.

A local bar had a boil a few months back, they flew it up from NOLA. Not sure how they did it, but certainly doable.

self-contradiction is a motherfucker.

Raf1 05-31-2010 06:17 AM

it was a pretty nice sunday. Too bad it rained heavily in the evening. The weather is pretty fucked up today and working is harder than usual :)

Fletch XXX 05-31-2010 06:41 AM

heres a few cell pics I snapped for those wanting to see pics. We did multiple batches, first batch has veggies like corn, potatoes, mushrooms, onions, garlic, and I always put in a whole cauliflower for myself!

http://ch33rs.com/pics/crawfish.html

http://ch33rs.com/pics/crawfish-boil.jpg

second batch is mostly crawfish with a few more potatoes for the kids

http://ch33rs.com/pics/crawfish-boil-2.jpg

and folks trolling me about not being vegetarian nomore, drop it. I went 5 years without meat, i shriveled up, was weak everyday etc... I live down south and do more outdoor living then most of you do in a lifetime i do in one summer, I spend eery day in the sun and simply found the veg diet was not enough to fuel this manly engine. Veg is okay if you sitting in a office and do nothing, but it personally affected me health wise and I have started eating meat again. Yes I talked about going veg on gfy, as I do lots of things I do, but that doesnt mean one cannot make a change in thier life. My wife and I both started t have reactions to soy products and my wife had to go to doctor regarding this. Do not troll her about medical stuff please....Our health is nothing to play with so we dropped the vetg diet, if you must troll me, please find something else. My wife is allergic to soy (we found this out after years of having reactiopns) and we both lost tons of weight and it did not seem healthy to continue it. had to take her to specialists to find out what was wrong.

As I said, please find something else to troll us about other than medical decisions.

Naechy 05-31-2010 12:51 PM

slayer69 05-31-2010 02:27 PM

looks good!

beemk 05-31-2010 05:36 PM

heres the cliffnotes of the last 5 years of fletch's gfy posts in case anyone missed it or doesnt want to look at 10k posts of him ranting:

-fletch gets into some vegetarian lifestyle kick
-pretends to be the greatest thing in the world and tells everyone that eats meat they arent healthy like him
-finds out he is wrong and suffering from malnutrition
-people call him out for being a hypocrite
-fletch cries like a little bitch

enjoy all those diseases that you claim eating meat causes!

Va2k 05-31-2010 05:39 PM

Today I went to moms and cooked burgers and hotdogs for the family, then I came back home and here I am working again. LOL
