when in doubt come to gfy. how long do you steam large artichokes?

fill a pot half full of water... add a lil salt... lil bit of of garlic... a bit of olive oil (tablespoon) and boil it for an hour for a jumbo.

I boil mine 20 to 30 minutes

I steam, usually 15 minutes or so, til the leaves are tender.

ya'll must have baby artichokes...

I boil them in water, until I am able to pull the top outer leaves off and get a good chunk of that plaque in my teeth. :-)

They are much better raw, washed really good with lemon and oil dressing. Crunchy hearts yum.
