Off the top of my head, I'd say....

- CANADA WINNING THE GOLD MEDALS for both mens and womens. Sorry, as a canuck, I had to.
- Visa screwing the whole lot of us non-american webmasters
- The MAJOR burst of the tech bubble (Nortel's fall amongst others)
- Enron and the other crooked companies that got found out

And my #1 story of 2002.....

Cheshire making out with another chick. OH YEAH!:eek2 :thumbsup

- the rise of video reality sites

the rise and fall of the immortal 'spacedog'.

-the influx of n00bs and tgp's
- the proof that shaving exists
