i talked with my wife about it an told her it was just a job an she was cool about it an said she didnt mind an that she wouldn't mind working with me doing it. But when we had moved my mother an grandmother asked me what i was goin to be doin for work an i told them that i would rather not talk about it with them i think they know because my father an grandfather know an they my had said something i just don't know how to come out an say it to my mother an grandmother?:helpme

Setup a weight loss site and give the URL to family when they ask. That then becomes what you do for a living.

Ironically, most of my family knows but many of my friends do not.

Why not tell people you are involved in traffic brokering and/or internet marketing of various products. Tires, televisions, clothing, porn, sales are sales. Marketing is a respected profession be vague.

my wife knows and some friends.. i have my mainstream designs site too. so, when someone ask, basically i tell them that i do logo and web designs. :)

My dad actually helped me when I started this. As for other family members I just told them exactly what I do since I don't care what anyone thinks. They either accept me for me and what I chose to do for work or they don't. Either way it would not have stopped me.

What do you gain by telling them? Nothing.

I am a photo assistant for a made up photographer that i put some fake stuff on the internet about who does fashion modeling and that I dabble in online marketing for some extra income. I do tell plenty of people what I do, just some I never would... ie certain family members and high school buddies and such.

The question is not how to tell your family. That should be pretty easy.

I don't talk to my family and am not close with them. Therefore I don't disclose anything about my life to them at all. It's none of their business. I never even see them to be honest and I prefer it that way. I don't have a relationship with them. I have my own life.

I pulled an "Elvis"

When they found out what we were doing (I was able to keep it secret for almost 11 years) they all lectured me. So I bought my parents a car, sent them on a cruise, bought them both new computers. Suddenly they are okay with everything. :)
