What happened to Global Warming?
This is probably the coolest May I can remember. We will not make it into the 80s at all. Warmest day so far was 78F and it is 35F right now. Chance of snow flurries tonight! :thumbsup
|
Yeah. It was pretty damn cold the whole year. Not good for the global warming industry.
|
It's "Climate Change" now, stay focussed!
|
Clear blue sky and 28½°C here today :) no idea what that is in foreign.
|
It goes from:
"OH NOEZ POLAR BEARS DYING!" to: "SHIT SHIT TOO MANY POLAR BEARS!" |
who gives a shit
|
Last week it was in the 50s, this week it will be in the 90s and 80s.
|
earth cant possibly have its own cycles, man influences everything. ya right
|
Nevermind global warming, what happened to the bird flu? Shouldn't we all be dead by now?

Next project is the cat virus (doesnt exsist yet but it will !)nice real money spinner...plenty of cats around.....vets may benefit too ! as getting your cat vaccinated as well as yourself could be the recommended course of action. |

this thread, due to it's meticulous research and cutting edge methodologies should be published among the most credible scientific journals. At the very least you should include it as part of your dissertation.
|
AL Gore just bought beach front property, this is the guy that said water levels would go up because of the ice bergs melting
It's now Climate change and the government wants to spend billions protecting us from it??? |

Stupidity is definitely thriving.
|
Leading scientists are now saying that the earth is cooling and has for some time. But don't worry we will get cap and trade because Obama, Al Gore and their cronies will make billions off it.

Didn't you get the memo? Global Warming is a Fraud, a Hoax, a Sham.
I hope all the Eco-Nazi's out there (who still believe in the "Global Warming" fraud) have a HARD fall into reality soon. :2 cents: |
Study the science.
Then you will all know and won't say such foolish things and make lame jokes that just underline how badly educated you are. yeah, like any of you dumbshits actually know how to read and assess scientific material for yourselves. |

This is shaping up to be the most entertaining global warming thread to date.
:D |
AMEN! It was all manufactured for profit by a few key players.

Al Gore made TONS of money before his global warning stuff.

Saw on the news today that there is a Low Pressure ridge in the center of the country. It's causing it to be pretty warm to the East and pretty cold to the West
It's only 75 degrees here in Vegas and they said something about the highs tomorrow possibly only being 66 degrees! |

I was commenting on the weather being cooler than usual and am psyched it is going to snow tonight. I guess some off you do not get dry humor! This was not intended to be a thread about global warming existing or not.

Quote from Club of Rome: “In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill....All these dangers are caused by human intervention....and thus the “real enemy, then, is humanity itself....believe humanity requires a common motivation, namely a common adversary in order to realize world government. It does not matter if this common enemy is “a real one or….one invented for the purpose.” Al Gore, former vice president: "I believe it is appropriate to have an over-representation of factual presentations on how dangerous it is, as a predicate for opening up the audience to listen to what the solutions are, and how hopeful it is that we are going to solve this crisis." Quote by Stephen Schneider, Stanford Univ., environmentalist: "That, of course, entails getting loads of media coverage. So we have to offer up scary scenarios, make simplified, dramatic statements, and make little mention of any doubts we might have." Quote by Christine Stewart, former Canadian Environment Minister: “No matter if the science is all phoney, there are collateral environmental benefits.... climate change [provides] the greatest chance to bring about justice and equality in the world.” Quote by Timoth Wirth, U.S./UN functionary, former elected Democrat: “We’ve got to ride the global-warming issue. Even if the theory of global warming is wrong, we will be doing the right thing in terms of economic policy and environmental policy.” Quote by Richard Benedik, former U.S./UN bureaucrat: "A global climate treaty must be implemented even if there is no scientific evidence to back the greenhouse effect." Quote by Chris Folland of UK Meteorological Office: “The data don't matter. We're not basing our recommendations [for reductions in carbon dioxide emissions] upon the data. We're basing them upon the climate models.” Quote by David Frame, climate modeler, Oxford University: “Rather than seeing models as describing literal truth, we ought to see them as convenient fictions which try to provide something useful.” Quote from Monika Kopacz, atmospheric scientist: "It is no secret that a lot of climate-change research is subject to opinion, that climate models sometimes disagree even on the signs of the future changes (e.g. drier vs. wetter future climate). The problem is, only sensational exaggeration makes the kind of story that will get politicians’ — and readers’ — attention. So, yes, climate scientists might exaggerate, but in today’s world, this is the only way to assure any political action and thus more federal financing to reduce the scientific uncertainty." Look who else chimed in Quote by Osama bin Laden: "In fact, the life of all mankind is in danger because of global warming resulting to a large degree from the emissions of the factories of the major corporations; yet despite that, the representative of these corporations in the White House insists on not observing the Kyoto accord, with the knowledge that the statistics speak of the death and displacement of millions of human beings because of global warming, especially in Africa." |

Did it ever fucking occur to anyone that the temp of the planet changes, sometimes it gets hotter, sometimes it gets colder.... And they are just too fucking stupid to look at the data and say "Gee, this is been on since we started recording the temp. Sometimes it gets hotter, then sometimes it gets colder". |

Read the science itself, not the political commentary funded by the oil and carbon corporations. But, I know you never will. Science intimidates you, as well it should. Science, unlike politics, never provides absolute answers, and recognizes that climate is a complex system which we cannot model without errors, and our models can't be used for micro-predictions like wether or not we might have a cool wet may after a warmer than average april. So saying that a cool may, or a snowy winter, disproves the global warming model is only something a dimwit might do, and a dimwit can say anything, and many do. I understand that it's pointless to attempt to argue science with anti-science, pro-corporate politicals. Still, if you did read the science, you might at least be able to avoid saying stupid things like a cool may disproves the theories. You could spout less patently dimwitted political commentary from the corporations you are defending. Not that it matters - we humans will not stop burning the fossil carbon until it is all gone, and nothing can stop that. |
Global cooling more like it over here.

The 99% of the global scientific community agrees that the world is indeed warming at a faster rate than ever before in earth history. The only thing debatable by sane people is the cause of this warming. If you don't think it is anthropogenic then do nothing. If you do then live responsible on an individual level. However it is pointless even talking to you lunatics when half the thread consists of donkeys sprouting shit like 'hey its really cold here today so global warming is all bullshit!' |

Secondly, only a few thousand scientists "believed" the Earth was getting warmer and ALL of those scientists were a part of the IPCC which used the manipulated figures.. Get it? Everyone based their findings off of manipulated numbers. On my side of things there are 30+ thousand scientists who are saying that those few thousand scientiest are all WRONG. They are wrong because because THE ACTUAL READINGS WERE CHANGED. It is now admitted that the Earth has actually been COOLING for the past 15 years.. Get over it. It's fact.. Your 90% is just as made up as their figures were.. |
liberals only bring GW up when its convenient. Just like protesting the war when W was in office, now you don't hear shit about them protesting anywhere. I live SF, which is no secret very liberal. Before Obama was in office there were aclu dummys on every corner asking for signatures protesting our involvement... they arent anymore, weird.

This summer will tell the tale for sure as the surface temperature of the Atlantic is the warmest on record.
If the Summer hurricane predictions come true, we will see the topic revisited in a major way. I don't think I'd stay too close to the coast this year. Active Hurricane Season Predicted |

Take care of your shit so it lasts longer and you don't have to replace it so soon. Don't buy a vehicle that gets under 25 miles per gallon. Don't buy useless trinkets that have no useful functionality. Only use 2 sheets of TP for each wipe of your shitty ass. Don't leave a bunch of lights on. Open some windows instead of using the AC. Don't leave the water running while you are brushing your teefers. Take quicker showers. I'm doing my small part. Let's perpetuate things a bit. gogogo |
i still can't find anyone who can explain me why it would be bad to cause less pollution and waste less energy
