DOMAIN REGISTRATIONS - who do you use?
Well who do you use and why?
We currently use Dotster but their prices aren't as competitive as they used to be... Was looking at GoDaddy but their anti-spam clause spooks me. Even though we don't plan to do any spamming, anyone that runs affilliate programs and hosting services knows that occassionally you do get those "up-the-pipe & around the corner" flames where somebody will flame you, your upstream, your upstreams upstream etc. What I read about godaddy on usenet suggests they want to make take an active role in anti-spam at the registrar level.. I spose thats good for some, but they scared me out of me transfering my ~100 domains to them :) They are always touted on TechTV as top notch though. ::sigh:: - Bigtime |
What are you looking for? Good price? Reliable service? ...?
|
directnic is good
|
We use enom.com and have had great service from them. We have around 1000 domains with them, we get them for $6.95, which I'm sure if you had 100 to move you'd be able to get pretty close to that price. You should open a free account, so that you can check out the tools they have.

I use www.namezero.com. Most people hate them. I don't see why, They always have been easy to use for me. Not the cheapest but I like their features.

Joker sucks. Directnic is ok but run by porn guys, don't wanna hand over my domains to competitors. I use bulkregister.com
|
http://domainnamesystems.com/
It's very easy to manage domains here, plus they offer a bulk domain purchase discount. |
godaddy has always worked well for me
|

Their quoted/public prices are like $29 or some shit. How did everyone find out/get approached with these low domain registrations? I would rather use someone that has super low PUBLIC prices, that way I know they have a lot of business and customers to support. |
im having a resseler account at enom, but i can create a account for you too if you want?
so people, if you want a cheap account at enom, let me know it and i will get one account for you. |
|
Registerfly.com is good but slow interface and dodgy cc scrubbing (but they take paypal)
Stargateinc.com is shit. Garbage. Stay away. They are the self-appointed moral police of domain names namecheap is good (my current preference) but doesn't take paypal domainnamesystems is good but too pricey - especially with the lack of features. directnic is no good. They wanna make sure you use your domain according to their policies. They can your domain very fast if they think you're being immoral. |
godaddy.com - great price, extremely reliable, all my domains are with them now
|
I've heard PowerPipe is the best enom reseller right now. No experience with them myself, but I use enom for thousands of names and they're excellent.
|
if you have enom resseler prices trhen you are in, look at my, 1 month and my domain names will cost 6$ each, maybe i will stats a domain register company lol
7$ each domain. but people, if you want a enom resseler account let me know it, i can create it for you. |
