Dear webmasters and Media buyers,

I'm sure that any of you dealing with massive media buys,
have at least once ( but most probably more often ) got
ripped off by a site's owner or cheated on.

We decided to create this thread to enable everybody
to share his experience, and let others know. So others
can avoid buying anything on that site.

Basically you can call this thread a Black listing of
cheater publishers / advertisers whom we would like the
whole webmaster community to learn about. This won't
stop these ppl, but mabye we could at least "slow" them
down.

Lets make a form for these replies. I would suggest using
the following structure:

Site Name / url:

Name of the person you got in contact with:

Any contact info ( That can help others to filter this person ):

Describing the case ( What heppend, how he cheated ):

I hope this can help us to avoid a % of cheats in the future.

Since you have 9 posts you probably don't know that this is the reason that GFY was created, there will never be only 1 thread for all this info.

Describing the case ( What heppend, how he cheated ): We purchased a 1 month popunder campaign, we were promissed to be the only pop on the site.

We sent the cash as agreed, since that he dissapeared, never returned messages, never placed the ad.

There are 2 type of ppl. 1 who try to create new ways, and the other who makes a joke about others efforts without even trying. Its always easier to critisise then to work on achieving things. I prefer to try. Even if peopel like you try to kill the baby before it borns....

That list of sites you posted is bullshit.

Your link/ad/popup never went up most likely because they were never his sites to begin with. You have no way of knowing for sure if the owner of them domains is a scammer. You were sent a list of sites, and sent him money.

Those websites could have been anyone, he gave you a list of sites, and ripped you off. Chances are none of those domains were even his.

This is why you should be careful making such threads, make sure you know without a doubt that the owner of those domains is the guy who scammed you.

Him linking you that list, and saying he would sell you ads, then disappearing only proves you were ripped off, not that he owned any of those sites.

I know the owner of some of those domains, and it is definitely not him...

Aye, easypic and other ones are obvious giveaways, this is probably the same guy discussed in the other thread.

He sent us google analytics screenshots immediatly when
we asked for it.

seemed legit to us. And we also wrote emails to the
contacts we found related to the sitem, with no replies.
The scam looks pretty round to me....

But we're not discussing here our own case. We just wanted a thread where the community can get informed about these incidents. And we would like to keep
it live for as long as possible.

I believe that its in the intrest of every single one of us

exalex, post the email of the person whom you had corresponded with. It might help save another member of GFY from getting ripped off.

Bear in mind, I bet that it's not the actual guy who owns those sites you had mentioned.

A word of advise, NEVER EVER pay for links until the person puts up your links on their sites first. Unless the person is well known and respected in the industry.

i dont think he was putting your efforts down he was mearly saying that with all the scams people try to pull off its hard to have one thread to cover all the scammers. However the board (GFY) was created to help people to do business and for people to call out scammers. So if you were to search the board you will see there are several hundred threads about each scammer and what they did and any other important information to help prevent others from being scammed.

The lottery, it's a god damned scam! I get ripped off every time!
