got the d3s out the door with 16g card and extra battery for $5700 and change... the d3x was $6500 new off craigslist.. have the originaal recipt and it's a usa model... then I bought the 17-35 2.8 for $1200 of CL as well. it's official: I'm broke

Great price for the d3x, specially if its a US model, Nikon Canada offered me a demo d3s for about 4500, which I thought was high, even with full warranty. But they seem to be holding their prices. So we shall see, I want the 3s for the lowlight capability:winkwink:

get it you will not be disappointed, mostly... there are a few AF issues with some bodies and the preview on mine is bit dodgey... going in for service in a few weeks... however the color and performance blows the d700 out of the water.. it is a NEW sensor, not an updated edition. I am literally stunned by the quality of the images...

I'm thinking about it again, being in Mallorca last week, trying to shoot with available light, just brought the subject up again, hate the noise h1 -h3 on the 700:winkwink:
