Stop with the social media crap on your tours

do that with your own traffic NOT affiliates' traffic. your job as a paysite owner is to convert their traffic into sales and do nothing else with it.

LoveSandra 05-20-2010 06:58 AM

what sponsors do you talking about ?

CIVMatt 05-20-2010 07:24 AM

Girls and programs have no clue what they are doing with social media, any girl with facebook references on her website has zero clue what they are doing

Supz 05-20-2010 07:25 AM

Give us some examples :)

Mutt 05-20-2010 07:31 AM

nah, i'm not looking to single people out - there are lots of them.

and I agree that shit needs to go in the members section and not the front page of the tour as a traffic leak is a traffic leak, I pay for 100% geo filtered traffic so it shouldn't be going to their twitter account where a sale gets no credit.

cherrylula 05-20-2010 07:45 AM

People have been doing that forever, like with yahoo groups. Don't send them traffic, it's simple.

DateDoc 05-20-2010 07:46 AM

Another traffic leak that needs to be closed. It is okay to do it on your pages that get organic traffic but should not be on a page where affiliate traffic lands.

Jim_Gunn 05-20-2010 09:19 AM

It's easy enough to have a separate tour for affiliates with no traffic leaks.

Luscious Media 05-20-2010 10:13 AM

We use them on our tours. http://www.savannah-swings.com/tour01.php HOWEVER, we link the social media images to a social page http://www.savannah-swings.com/social.php which is nothing more than a sign-up page. All active links to the social media sites are within the members area. No traffic leaks, affiliates get credit for all sales.

As an affiliate I've always stayed away from programs that have traffic leaks on their tours and no way to avoid them such as an alternate tour. Not only leaks to social sites but review sites, toplists, traffic trades, hardlink trades, and the traffic counters some people are still using.

As a program owner I stick to those same standards. No leaks...ever.

... and that's a very healthy way to take advantage of social media for both you and your affiliates. Nice work :thumbsup

Very smart as it adds another reason for the surfer to join to get their social network contacts

seen a few with forum links as well, just took notice of this after this thread, will probably pull a few due to this which sucks cause some of the chicks are hot but a leaks a leak.

seeandsee 05-23-2010 06:52 AM

if its not traffic leak ok, but...

ShellyCrash 05-23-2010 07:07 AM

Social media should point in, I see little benefit to pointing back to social media, especially in a tour.

if there was a way to have it on the video sample page and be able to parse the code into the tiny url that would rock.

as it adds another sales point of join for my social networks account info and I see some programs not only linking to social media but to personal blogs, forums and the whole nine yards.
