gotta check out cardstar. I think the amazon kindle for iphone is pretty good. read a few books on it and the small size was not bad at all.

ibooks will be available on the next iphone too :)

I have not tried it out yet but bought redlaser - it scans barcodes and checks prices for you.

i got that app its pretty good and accurate as fuck

Then they just key it in by hand and you still do not have to carry every card. Plus you can enter frequent flyer card numbers and other acct numbers into it too. Also, if you scan it when the screen dims you will have better luck getting it to scan most of the time.
