so heres the secret to losing weight

so, in mid march I decided to get off my ass and stop being so lazy so I decided to look into a way to change my unhealthy and prosperous webmaster lifestyle. So i decided to get a gym membership and I know realistically thats not all thats needed to achieve my goal.I went to the doctor to check out my weight and I couldnt believe that I was 431 lbs. I have always been a big guy but in shape from years of playing sports and other activities. I stopped fast foods completely and now eat a healthy fruit breakfast, light lunch and a low carb and fat dinner.I also work out doing an hour and a half of cardio monday thru friday.I am now a sexy 375 lbs. and my plan is to be down to 300 by the end of the year and 220 ( my football year weight) by the end of next year. the bottom line is it can be done, just with some discipline and will power:thumbsup

L-Pink 05-19-2010 12:58 PM

Keep at it. Do not slack off ... congratulations on the effort.

dyna mo 05-20-2010 07:31 AM

congrats on your loss!

it's just not true about having to cut weed out though.

czarina 05-20-2010 07:35 AM

over 400 lbs? Ouch! The good thing is that there's always time to improve that. I hope you stick to your new healthier lifestyle and lose tons of weight. May be less time on GFY and more at the gym will help with that :)

RP Fade 05-20-2010 08:34 AM

good to hear you're working your ass off (no pun intended) to lose the weight. Alot of people would opt for surgery, lypo, pills, etc. Keep it up.

its funny you would say that fade. I thought about doing the surgery but it is only a temporary fix to a permanent problem. Being a webmaster you get lazy and you dont really realize how much weight you put on over the years.Changing eating habits and regular exercise besides sex gives you an incredible amount of energy to deal with the day. not to mention sales go up with the new energy you put into work:pimp

D-Money 05-20-2010 08:46 AM

Good for you TDF!

I was up to 225 at my heaviest and changed my diet. Down to 185 now.

Feeling pretty good too.

96ukssob 05-20-2010 08:54 AM

thats great, nice work man :thumbsup

Ive got to get my ass back into shape ASAP. Over the past 2 years I've put on about 40 pounds. Mainly from not getting any exercise.

prior to working more now, I was going to the gym almost everyday around 2pm... I'm lucky to get out of my house before 7:30pm on any given day

Sheit....I workout every day and have dropped from 285 to 235 with a ton of new muscle and I couldn't IMAGINE not smoking weed...Now I don't smoke blunts or anything..Just a puff out of my spoon pipe....I also cut out cigarettes and I refuse to bring hard liquor into the house.

I don't know about that, have you ever heard of poutine?

Catalyst 05-21-2010 06:44 PM

Congrats and good luck

fatfoo 05-21-2010 07:04 PM

Good luck with going below 375 lbs. From personal experience, I lost at least 30 pounds - so I know it can be done.

SomeCreep 05-21-2010 07:17 PM

In theory, losing weight is very simple. Eat less and exercise. Unfortunately, in practice, most people are unable to do both of those things on a consistent basis over a sustained period of time.

Smart move. I see a lot of people get that surgery and they balloon right back after a year or two. People who get that are lazy and not willing to put the effort in to do the work.

If you want to lose weight you gotta be willing to throw down the cheeseburgers + donuts and eat a healthy lifestyle, and do cardio and weight training:2 cents:

what did you do to pack on the muscle? I do 30 min of weightlifting after every cardio session. The reason I stopped smoking is because i am a limitless person. Either I go hard or go home

andrew-acs 05-21-2010 07:41 PM

Wish I could workout too. I am already 250 lbs.

ry0t 05-21-2010 07:41 PM

Keep up the good work

Most of it is diet related. You can bust your ass off in the gym but if your diet isn't right then you wont gain shit...actually you can lose muscle and im willing to bet your diet is total shit right now. A lot of the weight loss you could be having is muscle loss.

If you want to learn how to get your diet right, watch these videos videos over and over again.

Men lose weight like it's nothing. Back when I was working in a warehouse, I had a coworker who was like 5'7 and 220 pounds. 5 months later, he was 5'7 and 175 pounds. He still ate like a horse, too, only a healthy eating horse :1orglaugh . He just started running and didn't stop, basically :1orglaugh

Congrats :thumbsup

jackknoff 05-21-2010 08:03 PM

Awesome! Keep it up and you'll be at your idea weight in no time. It takes alot of determination, but you seem to have it. Congrats!

I lift weights MWF BEFORE I do the cardio....On Tuesdays and thursdays it's Cardio first and pilates afterwards....

If you're a true weedhead, you'll be able to slow it down because all you really need is the feeling of being buzzed....smoking a gang of it just costs money and causes lethargy..

tony286 05-21-2010 08:22 PM

congrats and best of luck

EliteWebmaster 05-21-2010 08:38 PM
