STFU idiot.

PornMD 05-15-2010 08:13 PM

Hey, Peyton was without a ring for a long time, even seeing his bro get one first, but he eventually got one and shut everyone up. Lebron's still young and has plenty of time.

Peyton got his ring before Eli.

I'm pretty sure you're missing the entire point. Nobody cares about his financial success because no matter how much he fucks up, he'll always have nutriders who make money off of him and in turn, give him money. He is being criticized as a basketball player, nothing else.

My bad...it was that Eli got it so soon after getting into the NFL vs. Payton taking so long that I was thinking of then...anyways, I can't believe there's a "ringless" discussion about a fuckin 25 year old in the first place. He's younger than most of the people on this board and he's expected to have rings already? lol

Uh, yes lol. If he's being called the King, if he's being overhyped, if he's being compared to Jordan, then all of those apply.

You realize Jordan didn't win his first ring 'til he was 28, right? I don't remember there being tons of people calling him a loser when he was 25 for not having a ring.

1. Actually, that's EXACTLY what they were saying about Jordan. "He's a gifted athlete who can't win".
2. Nobody compares ages, only NBA years. Jordan won his first title in his 6th full season. Lebron just lost his 7th. Jordan put up better numbers in a better NBA. No comparion, sorry.

Cradle 05-15-2010 09:17 PM

im a big lebron fan but thats some funny shit LMAO

FlexxAeon 05-15-2010 09:49 PM

i got no opinion either way but... jordan had more people that could/would step up than lebron does. pippen, paxson, grant... people putting all the blame on lebron when he isn't truly the one who cracked under the pressure

Sly 05-15-2010 09:59 PM

One man, no matter how great, does not win a ring.

no i didn't lol

i know it was hard to notice cuz they didn't do shit, but there were 4 other people on that court at any time. you can't blame all that shit on lebron

if rondo had played like mo williams when pierce and garnett were putting up bricks, we might not be having this conversation

Lebron had his worst playoff game in game 5, and had 9 turnovers and 8-21 shooting in game 6. He was the 2nd or 3rd best player in this series.

kaktuz 05-16-2010 07:08 AM

^^ Games 4 & 5 sucked no doubt.

But lebron is a king, he does amazing stuff not many people on the NBA can.

But have to give props to boston, killer game play.

Rondo is a motherfucking speedy gonzales, this dude is so fast its insane.
& of course Ray Allen shooting from anywhere with high %.... garnet did his part....

lets see how it goes ;)

he did so because mo and the rest of the cavs cracked and didn't step into the role they had been stepping into all throughout the year. lebron was out there by himself.

check sly's post. even for lebron, 5 vs. 1... he's not gonna win...

and you know this :1orglaugh stop hatin on lebron

JA$ON 05-16-2010 10:17 AM

Im a Laker fan

That being said, I dont thnk it really mattered if they Beat Bost. The way Orlando is playing, they would have gotten smoked in the next round anyway.

He's an amazing player, but you just cant win a ring without a supporting cast. If you take the best player off of each of the 4 teams that made it to the semis.....Clv would be BY FAR the crapiest . 2c

Not Peyton Manning the most overrated football player who ever lived and they had to enhance the pass interference rules for because the Patriots beat their team up so badly before winning their second Superbowl and going on to their third?

It's really amazing that he even got that one Ring. I thing Rodney Harrison got injured or something before that championship game that even got them in the superbowl against the loser over rated chicago team.

Good thing they weren't playing Arizona or something :1orglaugh

P.S I'm not sure his kid brother got one first, but at least he deserved his.

To use this argument, Lebron would have needed last year's playoff numbers against Orlando. Since he averaged a little over 20 points and low 30% shooting in the losses against Boston, his supporting cast wasn't the problem. They were part of the problem, but they weren't the problem. Lebron had a mediocre series at best. There was no 5 vs. 1:)

cosis 05-16-2010 10:50 AM

I like Lebron but I never seen a player just give up like he did. It was just bizarre.

When your a top tier player you have to take the praise and criticism, thats how the league has always been. shooting under 30% and having 9 to's is not getting it done. I didn't see MJ dribbling the ball off his feet in the biggest game of his career.

Bingo. One of the many reasons LBJ is NOT and never will be, Michael Jordan.

"biggest game of a career" is not the same in retrospect as it is at the moment.

MJ actually did mess up on some of the "biggest games of his career" at the time. looking back, those games don't stand out anymore because he's proven himself now.

i agree, when you're the star player you get the best of the praise and the worst of criticism. comes with the territory and the paycheck.

but really, honestly..... it's a team game. period

something like that would explain the way he played after in game 4-6 but I wonder if any credible media will report on it.

That's what gets me about this. It's not like an individual sport like say golf when Phil Mickelson couldn't win a major for the life of him...there's no getting around that it was Phil not doing as well when it counted more (though some womanizer named Tiger existing didn't help either). Look at ANY team sport and you'll find superstars without a ring because they've been on a team of losers.

I couldn't care less about Lebron as I barely even follow basketball, but it just seems silly to harp on him for not yet winning a championship when he's probably got 10-12 years left to do it at the very least.

True but it was still pretty funny. :) Any player of Lebron's caliber cares very deeply about championship rings. Lebron is an amazing player I have no doubt he will come back from this but those last 2 games were without a doubt a very low point of his career.

Weird.. Everyone was saying how Cleveland was going to win this year because Lebron finally has the supporting cast. Anytime he loses though, it's because his cast suddenly stinks or his coach sucks. I love the double standards of Lebron nutriders. Oh, also your argument would only work had Lebron not stunk in this series. For instance, last year against Orlando, yes you could have said that although he just didn't do enough as well.

Not if you're going to compare him to the greats already, before he has even won anything.
