I know that someone had hit me up and was telling me about some new and improved version that was either just launched, or was going to be launched, and it was a better thunder-ball type of service.

For the life of me I can't find that link. However, it appears that there are more than one alternative out there now-a-days.

some good sites provided in this thread. They look like what Thunder-Ball should look like. Although thunderball was probably the first. They have definitely let it go. The interfaces is terrible compared to these, Hopefully these functions work just as good.

i like em but having to still keep track of the links on my end sucks lol, if i can find trades and they use linkex or similar so i can manage them if one of those sites takes the shit id like it more.

Now they just need to market a bit better to take over the TB and get more people in the pipe.

after the TB fiasco i'm actually gonna use an in house management script from now on, and just use sites like this as a resource for finding the trades

not saying linkspun will go the way of TB. but you never know...

Naturally I won't be commenting on any of the other scripts (and for the record, I've been a paid user of all of them at one point), but I can assure you that this won't turn to dust.

I've spent the last 5-6 years trading links, and generating hard links full time as a main function of what I do. Linkspun is a combination of my frustrations watching other scripts fail, being ignored by other script tools coders when issues came up, and lack of function on other scripts. Then realizing that the only way to get what is needed, is to have a link builder/seo guy build the tool himself.

I mentioned in our release thread that this is what I do, I'm not a coder, I'm not looking for a way to increase revenues by building a tool, I'm looking to build a community of adult hardlink traders and I plan to do it with the best tool that can be coded. That's really all it boils down to. :thumbsup

that's good to know and good to hear. and believe me, i am rooting for it to stay that way and for your service to grow and maintain. we NEED it.

But, like i said, you never know. I literally mean "you never know". It could be something completely out of anyone's control that could happen. Wild elephants could stampede your server room and destroy all your machines and data! Then what?? :winkwink:

Then I reupload the data and lose at max a couple hrs trades, then hopefully we can all barbecue some Elephants, have some beers, and have a laugh.

I totally understand what you are saying. I could have a heart attack tomorrow and the site not budge until it expires some day. Bar from something like that, it will be there and growing/evolving.

It actually brings up a real good point for all serious traders/users/webmasters though, and maybe I should have a downloadable list of trades users can save to back up their trade data for their own piece of mind.

word. peace of mind is what it's really about.

i actually don't think the downloadable list is necessary but it would make a nice addition. serious traders all probably already have some type of internal checking/managing script. i'm actually late to the party on that

looking forward to using linkspun for a loooooong time :thumbsup
