Dear Mr. President....
"I need a freakin' job." That's the message President Obama saw as he arrived in Buffalo, N.Y., this afternoon for an event talking up the administration's success in creating new jobs.

I just wonder if there is a way to give homeless people jobs. I go outside in urban areas, such as New York or Toronto, and I see people begging for money on the streets. I'm not saying the begging people are necessarily homeless, but I think as a society we just assume begging people are homeless. Jobs can't be forced unto people and the begging people prefer to beg for money instead of getting jobs. It's the difference between getting paid for a job and getting paid for nothing. I think that the people who want to find a job should talk to employers - talking to the President won't necessarily help.
The President could do something that creates more jobs. It's all about how fast a dollar exchanges many different hands. |

he stopped for lunch at a place called Duff's for some Buffalo wings, had the medium sauce.
i guess the Secret Service let some of the people eating there come and say hi to him, some 45 year old woman, i can only imagine what she looked like being Buffalo, came up to tell him 'you're a hottie with a smokin' little body' that's Buffalo! |
Lol, that's a nice ad.

Too bad they didn't think of that great billboard years ago when we started hemorrhaging jobs. Strong message.
|
But remember that Obama said we are having STRONG job growth! LMAO
|
Not like it really makes a difference. Wonder how much money they pissed away on that billboard. I'm sure Obama is going to go "gosh, before seeing that I didn't realize the job situation in this country, but by golly I do now, and I'm going to go create some jobs now ya hear?"
|
maybe they should be looking for work instead of buying billboard space.

very interesting ad..good luck!

Hmm, not sure if Mr. Obama can help those people. Now, if you don't want to work and sit on your ass I'm sure something can be arranged. I'm sure Mr. Obama would love to tax the working class some more on your behalf. More welfare and more free social services for the impoverished paid for by the working class..

I do love how people like Eric Holder have bashed the new law in Arizona and has promised to take it up in federal court and then later admitted that he hadn't read the law, it's only 10 pages and this is what Obama gave us for an Attorney general. |

Sorry, I tought your post was about job growth .... :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh Quote:

"If the economy produces jobs over the next eight months at the same pace as it did over the past four months, the nation will have created more jobs in 2010 alone than it did over the entire eight years of George W. Bush's presidency."

Unemployment was low, so those numbers don't really mean shit Now that we have a bad economy and bad unemployment numbers, creating more new jobs than jobs lost is what we need, not a comparision to something that has no bearing. foreclosed homes rate dropped by 9% thats what the democrats are celebrating, just don't tell anyone that the rate of people that redid their loans and heading for foreclosure for a second time is at over 50%. People aren't working, if the economy is to repar itself, people have to have jobs |
Quote:
If the people that adjusted loans have no money to pay those loans, then it never made any difference either way for that 50%. It's a wash...either they never had a job, they didn't have the money either way, or like the 'real' majority they're just walking away because they're so upside down - and you can because it means nothing. And it's not like the bank actually loses anything in the deal. I just think it's a bit... ironic, that our Country is still standing, I was convinced it was going to fail with all the talk about how everything Obama was doing was wrong. |
Quote:
Yes the country is still standing, just less jobs. But the administration will tell you it's getting better Just like Eric Holder telling us that the Arizona law is unconstitutional, too bad he didn't read it. |
Quote:
That is great. I like that game. Now every time a right winger says anything about anything I'll reply "just like Sarah Palin says..." http://punditkitchen.files.wordpress...christmas1.jpg |

Seriously though, four superbowls in a row and you lost them all and now you have the audacity to bitch about JOBS?! Shee... iiiit...!!! |
Quote:
I really don't need reports to see it has started turning around from what it was, a blind fool can see it's turning around. No, not every part of the Country is or will turn around, it doesn't have to though. Only a few 'select group' of people expect miracles. A lot of people said the AZ law is unconstitutional, left, right, middle.. I don't see how Eric Holder saying that makes any difference. Clearly in politics it's about votes from the Latino Community at large....which is why all sides have said it. But once it's found not to be unconstitutional, they all will support it. Things role that way on both sides of the fence. |
Superbowls 0-4 LOL :1orglaugh

Actually, according to polls, most people favor it, by 66% in some polls http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepu...wpoll0513.html Seems most of the people against the law are Latino, they probably have family that's here illegally Eric Holder is the Fucking Attorney General, He was appointed by Obama and is doing a shit job, making references to new laws that he hasn't even read and fails to use the term Islamic Radical when taking about terrorist because of political correctness, he's a fucking tool. |

Other than that, the unemployment rate went from 9.7 to 9.9. If you have ever taken any math in school, that means more people are unemployed. There will be new jobs all the time, it's the nature of things, whats weird is that anytime there has been a sharp peak in unemployment, there has been a rebound, except for now. It's been holding for a while and I have yet to see a plan come out by the president to do something about it, well except blame Bush. I don't want him to fail, I want to see something come out of that office besides SPENDING! Get rid of NAFTA Give tax breaks for US made products and get rid of bigger government thinking, someone has to pay for that!!! More people working in the US means a better economy |

Who here even blamed Bush??
One poster said the job loss trend was now better than in final Bush years, that's about it. But look around you, every single fucking day Tea Baggers are going on and on and on. |
