Ronaldinho NOT in world cup WTF?

That's just WRONG

seeandsee 05-12-2010 05:41 AM

brasil will suck hard

Nicky 05-12-2010 05:41 AM

I have to agree. He has not been like he was 5 years ago but he still deserves a spot.

adamneve 05-12-2010 06:28 AM

they will be sorry, in his current form he should be in the starting lineup

cwd 05-12-2010 06:37 AM

he hasn't been called up in over a year. there is so much talent I don't think they are going to miss him.

now, France not calling up Benzema...that could come back to haunt them.

lagcam 05-12-2010 06:41 AM

I think Brazil are trying to go for more of a team unit approach this time, and Ronaldinho whilst he has been on decent club form has not been spectacular and is a little of a luxury player. They are not of course short of talent so I doubt he will be missed, and it may also be a little kidology.....he could still make it there as an injury replacement.

Benzema on the other hand has not impressed at Madrid so I am not at all surprised by his omission. Give me Malouda, Anelka and Henry any day

slapass 05-12-2010 06:47 AM

Brazil is trying to avoid a repeat of last time. We want a team versus a group of stars.

I love Henry but he hasn't been playing much lately :2 cents:curious to see how he will be performing for that WC

Serial Pervert 05-12-2010 06:50 AM

he could be in, but cutting adriano was a great move.

fact. i think Dunga tried smaller players that will try their best to get international attention.

It is a surprise, however it does send out a message that if Brazil feel they can afford to leave players like him out of the squad, they must be pretty confident of doing well with who they have!

Doesn't sound good for the other teams then... :2 cents:

yeah, when he is on he is one of the best in the world, so smooth. but his form lately...

Cisse could be extremely important for them this time around and he has been on fire in league play.

cwd 05-12-2010 08:19 AM

wait wait...Maradona has his turn...and no Zanetti or Cambiasso for Argentina.

Lol, it's pretty much the same team that won all the championships played in the last 4 years.

Why will it suck??

:upsidedow

lagcam 05-12-2010 09:37 AM

I don't fancy Brazil. I just can't see past Argentina or Spain for the win.

gaffg 05-12-2010 09:38 AM

Serbia has a good team and qualified early

Argentina sucked fucking balls in the qualifiers. I expect them to be better obviously, but i can't see them being good enough to win it...

I think they will be fortunate to get out of their group.

gaffg 05-12-2010 10:10 AM

Argentina - Cambiasso isn't good. They were going to fail anyways.

leedsfan 05-12-2010 11:45 AM

ronaldinho sucks cocks

carlsandoval\ 05-12-2010 06:42 PM

i'm italian but i don't think italy will go far this WC, alot has happened with the national players italian teams in the last 4 years, especially juventus.

I think argentina is pretty strong and might have a fighting chance because of this guy

https://youtube.com/watch?v=lIY6z3iHQKw

he's one of maradona's favorites....

CunningStunt 05-12-2010 07:16 PM

My predictions - the way they've been playing, if they keep all their best players fit, I think Spain will take it.

England have a chance at the semis.

Argentina blow, wont even make the semis.

Germany / Spain / England / Brasil would be about right I reckon for the final four.

I disagree. Brazil is one of the best countries at this sport.

Ronaldo is fat and about 40 isn't he? :1orglaugh

Ronaldinho has been playing superbly the last 6 months - who else other than white Ronaldo and Messi has these kind of skills?

10 goals and 14 assists this season.

I'm pretty sure Ronaldo got back into shape, and in terms of who was better at their respective primes, Ronaldo>>>Ronaldinho. Ronaldo is also 33, so not even close. I would still choose him over everyone on their current squad.

He'll win France the cup with a hands ball.

I think the Dutch team should be in that list instead of ze Germans.

Fucking sucks they didn't call on van Nistelrooy.
The man is a legend and like Ronaldinho, he should have been selected, no questions asked.

Ross 05-13-2010 07:36 AM

I wouldn't have dropped Ronaldinho, he gives you something even if it is coming off the bench. Always a threat from free kicks, crossing, corners etc.

Fuck Fifa & Uefa for not introducing video technology into games. I hope the goal that wins the World Cup is similar to that one, just to show everyone in the world how fucking stupid it is not to use video evidence. I guess it would mean that the "big" teams wouldn't get away with all the decisions they get...

PR_Glen 05-13-2010 08:36 AM

they cut ronaldinho to make a statement.. CHANGE i strongly disagree with the move as he still is a VERY effective player and his experience at winning is needed for such competitions.

Probably has more to do with the managers pride more than anything, if he wins he looks like a genius, if he loses he will blame it on the young team. Personally, I see Brazil playing a defense first approach with those players as a big mistake and they will choke because of it. Who's going to score?

Brazil will still be strong, they have so many great players to choose from. The ones you mentioned have had great careers but Ronaldinho has been really off for the national team going back to the last world cup, Ronaldo is 33 and not in great physical shape, Roberto Carlos is nearing 40 and Adriano has made more headlines for his partying than his playing lately. To me, everything for Brazil will go thru Kaka, if he is on, they will be dangerous.

Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos are fucking old. Robert Carlos retired from the national team. Adriano is a headcase and his production has gone down. Robinho is not what he used to be. You are about as clueless about football as you are about politics.

michael.kickass 05-13-2010 11:32 AM

All those players lost their chance last WC. Ronaldinho's time is up already. Besides, Brazil has thousands of great players to fill their spots in the squad.

Says the moron who constantly gets his ass kicked in politics as well as soccer now, and who has to resort to "troll" posts because nobody pays attention to him. Seriously JFalcon, stop embarrassing yourself on this forum. It's gotten truly sad..

Ronaldo is finally back in full swing and Ronaldinho is playing lights out. Both of those are better than the entire brazilian squad. I wouldn't have them getting past the quarterfinals. I don't know what Dunga is thinking. Hell, bring back Romario and bebeto!
