Reporters, Politicians, Protesters & Almost Naked Chicks (pics from my yesterday)
 

Yesterday was a big political day in London. I had to be in the city for a course I am taking and the venue is very near Parliament square. So, I decided to go down and check out what was happening. It turned out to be pretty exciting for a political and news junkie such as myself.

I spent most of my time between the Cabinet Office, Downing Street and the College Green area outside Parliament which had become the media circus HQ.

The College Green area was great because it was full of political figures, top news reporters and normal people just rubbing shoulders. There were a more than a few wack jobs there too.

The crowd reaction to the girls. The shorter white hair guy in the middle is Peter Allen from BBC Radio 5 Live and one of my favourite political reporters ever. His reports from the war this year have been fantastic.

When I walked back up to the Cabinet Office on my way to my train,the press pack outside Downing Street was getting bigger and bigger as word that Gordon Brown was about to step down started to buzz around. I could only grab a few pics through the bars before ministerial cars needed the driveway:

The streets had become very full of people and protests were springing up everywhere.

The anti war guys were determined to make the police physically remove them from the windows of the Cabinet Office (where the Conservatives and the Lib Dems were doing the deal). So, things were getting pretty dicey and me and people like this guy decided it was time to move on. His girl's were getting really frightened.

I was saying to Aly at our company that I have developed Porn Sense over the years. I saw the woman standing next to them (the one holding the white coat) in the same area maybe five minutes before then. I looked at her and thought 'hmmm...you look porny' and then next thing I knew she was helping these girls get undressed.

I was convinced it was somebody from our world behind it but I would think they would be bragging about it on the boards already if it had been.

Gotta visit there, can I crash on your floor?

They needed better signs though. It would have been much slicker looking if they weren't hand written. Still, it was freezing and it took guts.

If the guy on the speaker is the guy recording then he was next to me most of the day..lol

In fact, watching it...I was *right* next to him when he recorded the bit about Richard Bacon being nice to him. I am a Radio 5 junkie so hung around that area. He recorded that bit just when I took my photos of Tony Benn who was at the next tent.
