Recommend me some good foreign movies
 

I am hosting a small movie screening soon and would like to add some obscure but awesome foreign movies to the mix be it Asian, African, Middle east it doesn't matter as long as it's good.

I love world cinema but if I had to mention just one to people that aren't really into world cinema I would say City of God.

Eat Drink Man Woman is a good Asian one that is a different approach from the region since most people expect violent films.

Koroshiya 1 / Ichi The Killer (2001) - Japanese - cartoonish violence

Kontroll (2003) - Hungarian - slightly odd, sort of a love story

Lola Rennt / Run Lola Run (1999) - German - small choices affect your day and those around you

OSS 117: Rio ne répond plus (2009) - French - retro filmed style james bond sort of film

Transsiberian (2008) - not really foreign but set in Russia - no idea why this never made the cinema

BLACK & WHITE 13 Tzameti (2005) - French - a man takes someone elses set of mystery instructions not knowing where it is going to take him
