Right after getting my DUI and being released from the "mobile DUI unit" I went straight to the hospital to get my own BAC test done. I was told the test would be no more than$100. A month later I got a bill in the mail for over $700! For a damn BAC test done at a little booth in the lobby....

all these hospitals and med insurance companies are massive crooks....

Sad part is my doc for the visit got reimbursed shit unfortunately
He only got 39 bucks for the visit

Fris the US healthcare system (if you call it that) sucks... every year my rates get jacked up... I do agree every AMERICAN who needs care should receive it by LAW.... but these fuckers really gotta stop with the huge charges to cover the treatments they get stiffed on..

Many years ago I had like a 2 month lapse in coverage and had to see my Doc and he was more than happy to take CASH at a normal price (not what he bills insurance co)

I'm always careful to remind my doc each year how much my insurance company will pay for blood work - to make sure that he doesn't order stuff they won't pay for. Just the basics, doc.

Took my GF to the ER at midnight Friday night, she were coughing and felt really bad.
Talked to doctor, chest X-ray, talked to doctor, shit load of drugs to take home.
Total bill $14

looks like my dr bill for diabetes testing :/

I told my doc to do the "works" I believe I had ac done also to reaffirm that i was now "Non diabetic"
