all the stock markets are tanking

Yikes, the Dow dropped from 10800 to below 10000 before coming back to 10400ish. Volatile!

U.S. stocks plunged late Thursday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling nearly 1,000 points as panic took hold. Recouping some of its dive, the Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDU 10,404, -463.96, -4.27%) was lately off 666.04 points, or 6.3%, at 10,202.08. The S&P 500 Index (SPX 1,111, -54.47, -4.67%) was off 69.29 points, or 5.9%, at 1,097.56. The Nasdaq Composite (COMP 2,292, -110.46, -4.60%) dropped 199.25 points at 2,203.04.
