Is it wrong to use youtube "vid to mp3" encoder if theres no possible way to buy the song?
I have found some things on there that Id buy the album if it was on amazon (its not) and since its independent release and theres no way to buy it, do you feel its wrong to encode it to mp3 and listen to it?

depends on who you ask

If you're wondering about whether your actions are right have you thought about whether it should even be on youtube in the first place?

its a music video, are all the music videos on youtube illegal?
PS I havent done anything, im discussing it, I got the song already but the music video is funny and has skits in it |

The bible does NOT state that converting vids to mp3's is wrong, so it must be right.

If you can't buy it then nobody is losing a sale. |
The are a few tools out there, which can convert the mp3 in sweet quality ;-)
And it depends on the video I think. There are lot of musicians with official channels who uploaded their own vids or have allowed the publishing. |
As long as you're not one who's gone around saying no to torrentz and blasting others for downloading clips/software/etc..etc..

My guitar effects processor/amp simulator has a function that allows a person to capture any sound coming through the computer. Including flash or whatever makes a sound. I've used it to learn songs and I dont have a problem doing so. I wouldnt try to distribute it though, but for my use as described I dont think it's an issue. Maybe it is? I dont know. I dont feel guilty about playing it that way versus playing it on youtube. It's just easier to loop sections or slow them down as a raw wav file. Or mp3.
