> Designs

We weren?t frugal when it came to design. Most of the AVS designs and promotional tools were made by famous studios specializing in design for adults.

A three-page tour adorns each site in our system. These tours consist of four scenes per page. Each site has a minimum set of promotional materials that include 10 banners and 5 FHG templates. Most of designs goes with PSDs.

During the initial stage of the system most DVDs were purchased at wholesale prices in major stores.

Quality and not massive quantity became the order of the day later on. We selected DVDs that were more in-demand than the narrow niches.

During the last period of operation we became quite inventive and delved into exclusive content and made a pretty fair rate. We bought single new scenes, combined them on DVDs and made the disc covers ourselves.

Very few, if any DVDs we purchased were accompanied by any compiled text descriptions. Descriptions for all DVDs, scenes, sites, and promotional tools were written by hand. Hundreds of pages of quality text were written by professional writers and freelancers.

> Thumbnails

Not all the DVDs purchased by us supplied accompanying photo material. And even if there was, it was difficult to resize it and use it for design. Each of the hundreds of thousands of thumbnails was processed manually, and this was also an expensive process.

> Programming

We did not use ready-made solutions. From the very start we relied on developing all the software by ourselves. Work with billing, content management system, affiliate anticheat system, flash Red5 server to display video in members section - all of this and much more were developed by us. Up to three programmers on an ongoing basis participated in the development of this project. And only the most advanced web programming technologies were used. The database of this project is huge and a great deal of effort was put into its optimization.

The support of members and affiliates took barely a few hours per week during the last half of the year. Support certainly wasn?t a cost problem either. Still, we?ll share all the information concerning support members and we?ll be ready to assist the new owners.

Since the launch of the site it hasn?t received the proper level of promotion, thus it never garnered much traffic.

During the peak of traffic our project was located on 10 servers. Presently the entire system runs on six servers. All these servers are located in the Holland datacenter.
