AOL + EarthLink are both blocking Pop Ups. A code to stop them?
AOL and Earthlink now both have a option to block popups automatically in their browser. Is there a htacess code, or perhaps even a software that will counteract their software and either make the popups still appear, or have the surfers who are using the software go to a warning page that tells them they can only view our site if they allow popups to be diplayed?

I think this is a great option. Pop ups suck and make people nervous about even clicking a sponsor link.

I'm sure someone will come out with something that unblocks the blocks if it is not already out.

I give my surfers lots of links to Panic Ware so they can get a free pop up stopper. You should too.

Bryce, (or anyone) where in aol browser settings is this new pop up stopper found??
|
you can block it on the server side with some code , but I'm not sure what it is, aol looks at the page but the code on the server is not seen , I saw it once a while ago but don't have my own servers so didn't follow it up - I used the search engines to find the info though.
