Iron Man 2 SPOILER - Just saw it.

I'm gonna ruin it, you sure you want to keep reading?

OK... it's spoiler time for those of who you can't afford a $11 ticket.

Tony Stark finds out the Iron Man suit is killing him. He becomes reckless.

Tony gets a new assistant who ends up being some super agent and I think later is part of the Avengers team.

The black dude steals a copy of the Iron Man suit (figures) and gives it to the military.

Micky Roarke is a villain who double crosses the other villain weapon maker and tries to kill Stark twice. In the end he dies but first blows up a bunch of shit. His dad worked with Starks dad but got deported.

Tony Stark makes Penny the CEO of the company.

Capitan America's shield pops up again in Starks work room. Foreshadowing.

Tony almost dies but Samuel Jackson (Avengers Capitan) comes in a gives him a box of his Tony's dad had. Tony finds a way to make a better power source that is not going to kill him. He does it and is stronger than ever.

The black dude comes back and teams up with Stark to fight off Micky's robot Iron Men. They win. The black dude is now is partner.

The FBI agent from the first movie is back and is a good guy. He is later sent to the desert on a mission. More on him later.

Stark kicks ass, gets the girl, black dude runs off with the suit again and the credits roll.

At the end of the credits, cuts to the desert. The FBI agent's mission is to check out this big fucking hole in the ground. That's what he called it anyway. In the middle of that hole is... THE BAN HAMMER. I shit you not. OK, the hammer is not Eric's, it belongs to Thor (another Avenger) but they show it for a second and then it ends. Thor is the next movie.

Fun movie. Lots of prep for the Avengers moving coming in a few years, after Capitan America and Thor.

StrokeKing 04-29-2010 07:31 PM

Thanks for the Spoiler. hehe i still want to watch this on 3D cinema!

sojproductions 04-29-2010 11:19 PM

watched it last night, good movie :thumbsup

fuzebox 04-29-2010 11:21 PM

Just got back too, gotta love the early international release :winkwink:

Thought it was pretty badass, even though the first movie was a tough act to follow... I didn't catch that the round thing was Captain America's shield, for some reason I assumed it was more modern art. I thought Vanko turning the drones into his personal army was predictable.

Scarlett Johansson, damnnn....

karapandza 04-30-2010 03:15 AM

I saw the ending scene with Thor's hammer Mjöllnir on youtube few days back.
Haven't seen the movie yet, but I want to soooo bad!!!

I think Iron Man 2 was a worthy sequel... great how we get to see it before North America for a change!

I did not read your post as I am excited to take my nephews and myself to see it. We went to the first Iron Man and loved it:)

Since when did Thor wear a rubber suit?

alexchechs 04-30-2010 11:02 AM

Isnt Samuel L Jackson's character supposed to be the leader of SHIELD- Nick Fury?

_Richard_ 04-30-2010 11:20 AM

the only thing you spoiled is the chance for disappointment for going to a theatre

smutnut 04-30-2010 12:49 PM

It seems like they are trying their best to stay with the comic book story line. I actually like Thor better from that pic than in the comic. He was actually always a little too gay looking for me. Nothing personal to the homos!

Yes SHIELD, that is it. Though he has a files about a Avengers team. I assume he will lead it as well as it sounds like he is putting it together.

THE AVENGERS were supposed to be created to keep THE HULK in check, but since GWEN STACY was killed before PETER PARKER ever started dating MARY JANE in SPIDER MAN, I don't imagine the story lines are the same in anything.

Also, HULK needs to say HULK WILL SMASH a lot more in future movies LOL :1orglaugh

I'm wondering in they are going to add GIANT MAN and WASP to AVENGERS or just the three movie guys CAPTAIN AMERICA, THOR and IRON MAN.

THOR originally was a red haired vicious viking Norse god in the myth, not a blond haired gay pussy with big metal ears like in the Marvel Comic. That's the one thing they screwed up.

bbobby86 04-30-2010 01:18 PM

and.....

pradaboy 05-03-2010 09:14 AM

Saw it last friday, worthy sequel, enjoyed it. Rourke really nailed that Russian accent. Rockwell was excellent as instigator.

Some people are seeing a link of Steve Jobs - Bill Gates in Tony Stark - Justin Hammer.

CaptainHowdy 05-03-2010 09:47 AM

Thanks, I'm going to spend that cash somewhere else...

Agent 488 05-03-2010 09:49 AM

sounds lame.

smutnut 05-07-2010 02:47 AM

Just got back from the midnight premiere. It was pretty decent. :thumbsup

Danny B 05-07-2010 06:37 AM

Good flick for sure.
great fx, dry humor and loved the captain america shield joke.

I'm betting when the special edition DVD comes out it will be a lot longer. I saw it last night and there were 2 scenes from the previews that weren't in the movie. The first is where Pepper Pots throws Tony's helmet out of the back of the AC130 and he jumps out after it. The second is where Natasha (Black Widow) has an Iron Man glove on and Tony is helping her point and she shoots the beam out of the glove. I saw both scenes dozens of times in previews and both were missing from the final product. I wonder what else got left on the cutting room floor.
Awesome movie and I feel sorry for the people who left when the end credits started rolling.

You are right, I totally forgot about those scenes.

Words "Iron Man" make me recall song called "Iron Man" by music band called Black Sabbath. Of course, this movie is about a completely different Iron Man.

Actually I think they ripped off that story "from" or "for" THE MAN THING and THE SWAMP THING (which both ripped each other off). But they still should have used it. They did in the advertising.

It's hard to believe SWINGERS Favre directed this. Both the first and the sequel were probably the best comic book adaptations yet and I was never a fan of that comic.

Fantastic Four still has to be the worst adaptation ever. I was a fan of that!

Davy 05-07-2010 01:18 PM

I didn't like it as much as the first one. The special effects were awesome, but that's about it.

They are working on an Ant-Man movie entertaining the rumor of Simon Pegg to play Hank Pym. The Wasp would obviously be in this flick as well.

However, it will come out AFTER The Avengers movie. So, if those characters are in The Avengers, then this movie will act like a prequel I guess after the fact to explain their origins.

I didn't know the difference between a director and a producer, so I looked it up. The producer is believed to have more control and the producer can choose a director. The producer has general control of the whole project and could give responsibilities to the director, yet the director essentially makes the movie. Therefore, a producer is the one that assists the everyday monetary and production concerns as the movie is being made. The director creates the script of the movie.
