What Legal outcome have we seen with all the lawsuits again tubes?
Are they all settling out of court or has someone actually won a case?
|
All have been settled out of court.
|
nothing, just money exchanges and the cycle continues.
|
Really, That's not going to help pave the future.
|
None that I recall legally.

How long have porn tubes been around ? 2 -3 years maybe longer. Nice to see a lot has been achieved considering the 1000's of topics all over the boards huffing puffing and whining.

i know of no out of court settlements. VIVID filed a lawsuit against YouPorn.com - they dropped the suit, I don't remember any news article mentioning a settlement, they just dropped the lawsuit when they realized the likelihood of winning was not good. YouPorn was one of the first major porn tube sites, they've cleaned their act up. They work with affiliate programs.
TeenRevenue filed a lawsuit against one of the big tube sites with a legal argument that wasn't based on copyright infringements, crazy lawsuit where they were claiming that the tube site giving away content for free was killing their business. Judge laughed them out of court fast. Lawsuits take forever, Viacom sued YouTube years ago now and it's just now finally before a court and just the discovery stage is taking months. I really hope Pink Visual has some smoking gun evidence against PornHub - reading between the lines of the news story I read about their case it didn't sound like they did. Unless they can get solid evidence that Pornhub and its employees/associates were uploading the copyrighted videos themselves then they will just be wasting their money. We all know how Pornhub operates but telling a judge or jury that isn't enough, they will have to prove it. |
Court cases take years, discovery is a bitch.
Most will likely settle though. WG |

Most cases will and are ususally settled out of court....if your a gambling person I would bet the same outcome in 99/100 lawsuits of this type. |

But the longer a law suit takes, more of the focus is on the law suit and not so much the business so it does affect your normal operations. Also, even if it takes 3 years, that's 3 more years of evidence if nobody is cleaning their act up.
