Just had a guy on ICQ looking for exclusive custom Boy-Girl content.

He wants teen girls, picked up on the street. Then taken some where to be fucked. He want is it wild and a bit like college fuck fest.

20 minutes of video and 120 stils. No problems there.

Only problem is, he only wants to pay $500 for exclusive custom.:helpme

I told him he was talking to the wrong guy.

Can anyone shoot that for that price, would anyone want to?

Here's my take on it from my experience buying custom videos recently.

I've found the price for hot young girls in a 20 min hardcore video is about $1000/video - PROPERLY edited and FINISHED product.

some ideas, shoot two or more sets with the same girl and guy. this gets the price per set down casue she's already there and everything is set up. Set up time is often ignored but it's a BIG factor in the cost. This often means havign the client team up with someone else buying the same type of content though.

i would hope the client was thinking RAW unedited tape footage for that price. - edited that would be impossible and having someone take 120 stills with the video for that price seems outa wack. I would think an EXTRA $200 per scene for the pics would be about right and about $200 for editing if you have to do it.

but $500/scene for a non-english speaking babe in a 20 min hardcore video RAW UNEDITED footage (without pics) if the clients buys two or three sceens of the same girl and guy doesn't seem outawack, and many companies will do a good job in that price range.

add $200 for editing and about $200 for the pics and it's about $900/sceen. Once again low for a one time shoot but not outa range for a bulk purchase from someone who's gona buy a lot of stuff from you, esp if you get them to buy 2 sets at a bulk discount and shoot 3 during one day of shooting- one for yourself to sell.

I tend to agree with you. We can get a girl to do a hardcore scene here for anything from $150, the prettier ones want a bit more. The boys who are in the business and know their job want the same money.

So we have a minimum of $400 per scene just for the models. you can get a few cheaper but then some will want more especially the better looking.

But the problem with shooting boy girl is it's value not what it costs.

Firstly few people can shoot it right, so it has a highter value than solo girl. It takes longer to shoot than solo girl. It is a hard days work to shoot 3 average ones, 2 good sets or 1 very good set.

Then there is it's value when selling it.
We can sell a good set to magazines for $3,000 to $5,000. An average set will sell for $1,000, all magazines want Internet rights these days. They are building content chests for the day when they come into the market. Hustler are not buying for the Internet, they are using stock sets.

Then with the Internet sales of 50 times @ $45. Why sell for less is the question?

There is a maximum number of sets we can produce for the magazines. so It's nice to have some extra custom work, but with the boy girl sets, we want more on our site not shoot them for someone else on an exclusive deal.

And NO its not worth it at that price, your making next to nothing on a deal like that.

However if you pile some of those orders up im sure they could be used if the customer dont mind waiting a good while.

this is the custom exclusive business guys. one guy hears through the grapevine that this guy here or there is shooting scenes for $500 EVERYBODY thinks that's the going price and what he should pay.

i'm moving towards licensing, we'll keep doing exclusive but we'll separate the exclusive models from the licensed models so exclusive customers don't get upset.

Not sure yet though because even though L.A. is the porn capital of the world if we shoot 10 teen girls for exclusive clients a month, the next 10 in line might not be so hot.

There should be 10-15 soft shots in a set.

we work already with other photographers

we usually order 20 sets per model
each set includes around 100 images + 10 mins of video relative to the set(backstage, short interview,...) all in digital format(no paper)
Some of our photogrpahers shoot all the 20 sets in 1 day so that they low the costs
we pay 40-50$ per set (it depends on the skills of the photographer)

I told you ages ago to go for licensing. The only reasons for shooting exclusive are, you need the money or they are willing to pay the going rate.

A licensed set will sell 10 times @ $35 no problem and that isjust solo girl. And I would not worry about keeping the girl for exclusive customers and some for license. the problem in LA is, who will she work for next week?

Go for it your stuff is good and the real money for Content Providers is in licensed sets not exclusive.

charly i have those email and ICQ conversations alot.
some guys don't understand how it all works which i guess is understandable, i try to explain it to them honestly, they think there is a 'green' room in a studio with 10 models waiting for a bell to ring when an order for 20 custom photos comes in, like a pizza takeout shop, pizza shop prices too.

yup i know licensing is the way to go, i hope to be doing it sooner than later.

it's true what you say about not splitting up the models between exclusive and licensed content but there is reality to deal with, i have spoken to clients and even though with L.A. girls most will wind up shooting for alot of different companies they still expect that the girls shot for them are only shot by Brian for a small number of other paysites.

Quite a few Wanton Girls you won't see all over the place, some are fairly exclusive. Others like "Lexie" are on every teen website, exclusive or not, known to mankind but people like her so they have no problem buying exclusive sets of her. Brian's stuff on her and Annabelle blows away anybody else who has shot those two girls. On some other girls I see other photographers who do better.

I just saw 'Annabelle' on the cover of a new DVD. She's going to be a big star I think in porn.
