i have no use for a rifle though, when I hunted as a younger person I used them, but as an adult its more about home and vehicle protection.
Being able to ride around with firearms in your vehicle here in new Orleans makes me feel safer LOL No need for permit to carry in your car here though. In fact, people are encouraged to carry in their car. Your car is an extension of your home here, and if someone tries robbing you or car jacking, that means, as defender of your "home or castle" thou can put a cap in thy ass. Louisiana subscribes to the "castle doctrine." I havent found a reason to actually get the permit here, but my cousin just did a home-based permit party. The instructor came to his house and did the training for a group of people and handled all the paperwork for them it was only $80! But i foujnd out too late and counlt make it, if I had, id have permit for Louisiana. But really, you can ride around and even carry a pistol and dont need permit here, unless you wanna walk the streets of nola with your gun. |
its worded so damn sexy:
4)(a) When committed by a person lawfully inside a dwelling, a place of business, or a motor vehicle as defined in R.S. 32:1(40), against a person who is attempting to make an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, or who has made an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, and the person committing the homicide reasonably believes that the use of deadly force is necessary to prevent the entry or to compel the intruder to leave the premises or motor vehicle. http://www.legis.state.la.us/lss/lss.asp?doc=78338 just trying to enter someones car while they are in it is enough to get shot LOL |

texas has a traveling law, which is kind of like your car is an extension of your house. the only problem is the actual definition of traveling. some jurisdictions will just arrest you and let the judge decide if you are "traveling" or not. |

In this state, cops KNOW they need to identify themselves because here everyone is packing and ive had police officers tell me face to face "if you ever shoot a robber out of your house, make sure you drag hjim back inside so the paperwork will be easier." True story when a little black kid tried to steal my car, I ran outside in my underwear with a shotgun LOL after the smoke cleared thats what cop told me LOLZ |
I would rather not have to shoot someone if at all possible so I think strapping a Baretta to my thigh and making sure everyone knows its there would prove to be an incentive to leave me alone

1) I do not strap on any firearms ever... I was making the point that IF I did then I would not conceal that weapon, but make sure it was visible to avoid having to discharge it in the first place. It is harder to victimize someone who has a weapon and knows how to use one 2) I've been trained to use a small variety of weapons in urban environments so IF I actually had a weapon strapped on me and IF I was forced by circumstance to draw and discharge it my aim would not be to mortally wound the aggressor but to defuse the situation as quickly as possible. I should also note that where I live carrying a weapon be it firearm, rifle or shotgun would not draw much special attention. It is rural with a strong sportsman's tradition. In other words just about everyone owns gun and if they have one with them there is generally a reason spaz |

Side note: the area I live in has some of the most women concealed carriers in the US! white women dont like the rape stats so they pack down here. |

by warzone, I mean shit like this.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/...shooting_N.htm NEW ORLEANS — A dispute lingering from Carnival season between two men escalated into gunfire just outside the French Quarter this past weekend, resulting in seven gunshot victims and casting a negative light on the tourist-driven district. It's not clear if the injured bystanders, ranging in age from 15 to 50, were out-of-town tourists enjoying the French Quarter Festival, a three-day music and food celebration that ended Sunday, or local residents, New Orleans Police Assistant Superintendent Marlon Defillo said. More than 50 extra officers were patrolling Canal Street because of the festival, which had just ended for the night, but were unable to capture the assailant, who managed to blend in with the crowd and escape, he said. |

Also, those who carry do not have crim background, alcohol related arrests, domestic abuse etc... it aint us thats the prob, its the cops and robbers. |
cops treat you differently when they know you got a gun. They dont ry to push you around as much or talk shit. They take you a bit more serious and treat you as law abiding citizen.
You show them your piece, before they even get to car you inform them you have gun and where it is etc... Unarmed folks are victimized more, thats a fact. |
