Free business idea for anyone out there who knows how to make computers

so...here it is.

i was thinking about this the other day, and i said how come microfags own the pc market?

why arent there pcs made that dont have any microfag software on them

so....i bet if you had the drive and the know how...people would buy your computer with no microsoft crap on it

you could load it with ubuntu....and google apps etc etc

after awhile...you might even get hookups from google and others who would have an interest in seeing microsoft pushed out of their dominance in the pc market

every single computer excpet a mac (which doesnt count) has ms crap already put in it

if you got enough sold i bet, others would follow suit

be awesome to see dell...or ibm ..hp rolling out whole lines of computers with not one piece of microsoft anything in them

food for though....pretty much anyone i ask...hates microsoft...i think people would switch just because.

so there you go...hop on it...make a good product...and advertise..no ms software at all

i bet you get some sales just from that.....then try to pitch it to the big boys

You can buy PCs from Dell without any M$ software loaded on them. Using Ubuntu just as you mentioned.

They've even carried no Windows PCs at Walmart...a few years ago now. I think they were running Lindows, not sure if that's still around though.

We've got a local custom PC shop that builds and sells Ubuntu boxes as well.

Definitely a good idea, but hardly a new one. I'm sure someone could do nicely, on a small scale if they wanted to target that market.

I've got a pc downstairs running ubuntu,

It's a pain in the ass getting drivers, software, etc. Rather stick to microsoft for now.

Yep!

I'm pretty sure if you took the time you could get a set of hardware that works together etc. Depends how much time someone wants to invest I would say. Probably a good idea though :thumbsup

That's what I'm saying man. You can buy an Ubuntu machine from Dell. They already sell them.

You shouldn't have trouble finding someone to build you a box to your Specs and setup and configure Ubuntu for you. It's not difficult and would probably put a few more dollars in their pocket compared to having to buy Windows and install and set that up.

I set an old box up with Ubuntu for my grandma. She doesn't know Windows, so she doesn't "know the difference". She can email, check the internet and weather and we have her logged into IM via GoogleTalk and she's able to get hold of most everyone in her family pretty quickly and easily...at 82 years old.
