I predict: the ipad will start electronic magazines
i predict that the ipad will start a new electronic mag/newspaper wave.
automaticly sent to your ipad (probably via rss feed). in fact we may see a new format (as in somthing like pdf) but somthing set for ipod and other such devices, so you can view the mag/newspaper on all devices. |
Good prediction:thumbsup

I like it, easy adaptation for bloggers too.

I love the way you 'predict' something that has already happened. Genius.
I predict you will buy a shit domain with the word babe in it. |
so far electronic mags suck.
they look bad on-line, and popular blogs are a pain to read as many load slow. i see a few mags saying they will do online mags, but this will still be online. it needs a format that is standered (like mp3 is for music). but that can be read on other devises too. if done well, it does not need to be free. i think people would be happy to pay somthing per month for a mag. this would also make the ipad worth getting. |

yes they will have online versions, but i see it as a standered syatem that will read all mags and newspaperts rather than say an app just for the content of a single mag. |
One of my pet peeves is people calling a website a " Magazine "
A newspaper is a newspaper. A magazine is a magazine. If something is up on the internet it's a website. It started with people that were trying to get models to pose for their websites. Back then website modeling wasn't very popular as porn became synonymous with the internet so people started calling their websites " magazines " to get that mainstream respect and fool the model into thinking she was posing for something respectable and legit and not just a website. |
Do you UK guys all hate each other?

Bless you. /me pats you on the head. |

i feel better now sorry about that, i am such a dum dum. again you have sorted me out. what would i do without you. |
i have just had an idea for an app.
basicly a sort of 3d app but rather than use glasses, you move your ipod/ipad in different directions to see the onbject from different angles. so if you tilt it, you would see the object from the side or top or bottom. and if you shake it ipod/ipad you couyld get the object to move. ok, thats my thought, and i bet smart pants will say an app like that exsists. but it would be cool to do with a girl. see her from different angles and shake it and her top falls off. so it would be as if your holding a frame and looking through it. |
Damian is on a hate spree here.

I love AllanUK for being so very stupid, but cute. He is kind of like a retarded puppy. And I love Gary for being so painfully stupid I am amazed he can breath without assistance. |

I still like "real" magazines. I subscribe to Wired, Popular Science, Scientific American, and NEVER go to their websites. Paper somehow is much easier to read.
But that said, I also think the iPad will change this. I haven't tried an iPad yet myself but if it is as easy to use as my iPhone I may just try downloading a book or magazine and give it a real test. |
AllanUK I predict you will come up with something worthwhile.
In the next 10 years. |

It is well documented that Jobs put Apple on the path to the iPad to revolutionize print media distribution in the same fashion as he did with the iPod and music distribution.
If you are keeping track it will be the second time he revolutionized print media. Sinclair |
Haha. First of all, this has been going on for many, many years. Secondly, I love when you UK guys duke it out...I particularly like that Damian always comes out on top.

I'm already reading several magazines on mine.
I like how in magazine advertisements, you can click on the URL and go straight to their website. I get my magazines through the free "Zinio" app, but the magazines themselves arent free. |
They have been around a while.
