I grew up in a state where the age of consent was 18 and now where I live its 16 and all my friends are like find some 16 or 17 year old pussy but its soooo ingrained in my head that its wrong I dont think I could do it. Yes, all of the laws that are 'saving people from themselves' are horribly stupid. This law is typically used by the parents to keep their poor innocent daughters away from the slobbering rapists...lol. I don't agree with 40 year old guys picking up 16 year olds though..Here in canada the age of consent was recently raised from 14 to 16. Though there is a clause in the law that would allow 14-15 year olds to consentually have sex with someone as much as 5 years older.
