Experts on MOBILE videos, i mean, REAL experts in here
It seems we have some trouble with some of the surfers wanting to view our mobile videos. I dont get it, we have been trying almost everything now.
It works on "all" iphones, but then it doesnt. We have tested it on different iphones, they seem to work, but somehow on some iphones it says that it wants to download the videos and/or safari is giving some kind of error. I want this fixed once and for all. Could it be that the problem is with some providers? If it works on 1 iphone, shouldnt it work on all? So, im giving a nice reward to someone that can test our videos on different phones. Iphones, blackberry, htc, android, whatever. Who can check and fix, i will pay! Videos are encoded in mp4 baseline profile, and regular mp4. Who has a company/service/or is someone who can do this? |
Ever thought it might be an issue with the users browser and not your videos?
|
are all phones the same generation and/or updated OS?
used to be you had to embed the mp4's to get them to play via the browser. then via upgrades (i believe OS upgrade but might be generation upgrade) you didn't need to use the embed method. pretty sure the embed method works for old & new so i use embeds. i haven't done any thorough testing |
If anyone knows the problem please contact Mr Frisky. It seems to be a difficult problem. I think there enough wise guys on this forum who can help us :winkwink:

There is never just one-for-all type format, depending on your setup and how you detect devices is what you want to try and output to the device. |
